No better way to learn about the Dine and Canyon de Chelly - Seeing Canyon de Chelly with a native guide was recommended, and we are so glad we did. Leander drove us through parts of the canyon and showed us dwellings and pictographs. Most important to us, he shared his own journey with his Dine heritage, information about his family and the history of past and current inhabitants of the canyon, and resources to learn more. Our knowledge about the ancestral Pueblo people was reinforced, and we left with a much greater understanding of the experience of the modern day Dine.

Great experience!! Ben was amazing! - My partner and I took a private 3 hour tour with Ben to see Canyon De Chelly. It was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to others. Ben was a WEALTH of knowledge about the canyon and shared so much history with us. He really made it an amazing experience and we felt so grateful to hear him share about the Diné culture. The views and everything we got to see were also spectacular, of course. We went at 9 am and it was perfect weather. I liked the open jeep too instead of an enclosed jeep. If you really enjoy learning about Native American history and want to see all you can, I would recommend booking the longest tour they have and we definitely will be returning for another one! Thank you again Ben for your warmth and hospitality, and Beauty Way Tours for this offering!

A worthwhile experience, with a suggestion - We started the day with Benny a local guide. He was pleasant and knowledgeable of the area. He gave us insights to the many of the petroglyphs that appear along the Canyon. We saw examples of the structures built by the ancient Anasazi and past and present structures of the current Dine' people. Benny's stories of his family and personal experiences in the Canyon were great. I would recommend however advising customers that the backcountry permit is not part of the fee and that a gratuity is expected for the guide and what is customary. The cost of this trip is significant, however the quallity of the guide makes the trip worth the upfront cost, the additional fees and gratuity puts pressure both on the guide and the customer to have a mutually beneficial experience

Incredible tour! - My wife and I went on a 4-hour Canyon de Chelly jeep tour with Viola as our guide on a beautiful fall day. Viola had lived as a child in the canyon which allowed her to give us personal anecdotes (she even took us to her family’s land) along with a great history of the canyon and its people who live and have lived in it. We absolutely loved the experience, learned so much and it was the highlight of our weeklong trip in the 4-corners area.

So great & special - we loved it! - Our very kind guide Leander took us on a stunning trip into the history of this amazing canyon. We are so grateful that we had the chance to meet him and to see this very special place! The car was very good - and even better was the driver doing his not always easy job in this terrain. Big thanks Leander - you and the stories you shared with us will always be in our memories.

Viola is the best. - I chose Beauty Way because they started giving tours in the 1980s and I appreciate their philosophy of respecting the land, their heritage and their people. My wife and I took the four hour private tour. Our guide Viola was amazing. By the end of it we felt like we had truly made a friend as well as learned a tremendous amount about the culture, the people and this beautiful Canyon. We are anxious to come back and take a tour again with Viola, five stars all around
