A great trip to Holbox - The transportation runs really smoothly, however, our large bus had poor air conditioning at the rear of the bus. Breakfast was ok, a sandwich, a biscuit and a piece of fruit and a drink, just enough really. We arrived at the ferry and it was ready to depart, which was good and only took 20 minutes. It’s a 10 minute walk from the port to the golf cart hire shop or a 70 Peso taxi, we took the taxi! All I can say about the golf carts is, every tourist driving them has a smile on their face, they were amazing fun. We then returned the golf carts and met for lunch at a local restaurant and I have to the food was delicious. You then get another hour to look around, which, in our opinion, was not needed, it would have been better to get an earlier ferry, as the day was very long. We got back to the ferry and boarded really quickly and we were on our way. We got to the bus and the driver had managed to get the air conditioning working better, so the journey back was more comfortable. All of the staff are very helpful and make for a really enjoyable day.

Not What I Expected - Definitely not what I expected. Was expecting more English and more “guided”…. They pick you up in a smaller van and bring you to a large bus to go to the ferry pier. Everyone is Mexican and speaking Spanish. Us and one other couple spoke English. They get you to the ferry, walk you to a bike/golf cart rental place where you must share a cart with another couple (4people/cart). Then off you go on your own for three hours with little to no guidance. Then back for crowded lunch w other excursion groups, then two more hours on your own walking around without a golf cart. If you want this limited level of support, better to just take the ADO bus and then the ferry to island and rent cart yourself for 1/3 the price.
