We journey approximately 43 kilometers to Anakulam using the Lekshmi mountain route. A picturesque village named Aanakulam, enveloped in forest landscape, magically blends tranquility and beauty. Notably, the local elephants here interact in large assemblies within human-populated territories, a distinct feature of this scenic locale. Two tributaries of Periyaar, namely, Idacholayaar and Nallatanniyaar moisten and enrich this terrain. Reaching this site is reliant on jeep transport services.
One can marvel at the elephant gatherings from as close as 50 meters.
Anakulam is an arena set against a backdrop of Reserve forests. It is prominent due to its geographic, climatic, and cultural diversity. Local Muthuvans and Hill Pulayas cultures contribute to the unique charm.
Additional sights worth visiting include; the Viripara tiger cave, Rubber plantation visit, Perumankuth waterfalls, River crossing, hanging bridge, Swimming in the safe river, off-road driving (through the forest), and common wild elephant sighting places.

A perfect day! - First of all many thanks to our driver Mani. He's the perfect guide who looked after us the whole time and is great company. We appreciated all the insides and especially the secret swimming spot on the way to the elephants.
The trip is really worth the money including the delicious lunch and of course watching the elephants at their watering hole.

Great experience - Great opportunity to see elephants in the wild. However , be prepared it might take some patience waiting at the water hole!
Senthil was a great driver and guide. He was very helpful, kind and provided us with lots of interesting facts about the local environment.
Overall , Munnar Info were very professional on both tours we booked. The activities were adjusted to fit our needs very well.

Amazing tour! - Great trip! Our guide Sir Ganesh took the time to explain everything to us, had brought delicious tea and biscuits, waited patiently with us so we could see 6 elephants, and made sure that we had the best day out. A must do if you go to Munnar!

Great tour - Our guide was Suresh and we had a great full-day tour! Beautiful landscapes, interesting trees, waterfalls, fruits, spices, … we were able to explore. Everthing was well organised, Suresh was a very good driver, photographer, speaking a good English. And the highlight was to see 6 wild Elephants, 2 of them babies! Awesome experience and fully recommended!

Awesome trip! - The trip with Suresh was great. He showed us the special places around Munnar and explained a lot about nature. The highlights were the great tea plantations and the elephants at sunset in the elephant village. Thanks for the great tour Suresh!

Wild Elephants and majestic wildlife. - The owners are first class and straight forward to deal with. We really liked the trip because there were no commission or unwanted visits where you get harassed to buy something. That is worth a lot!
Suresh was our driver who lives in the locality. His knowledge of spices, bird life and other animals is very good. His driving is very careful and he is keen to make sure you have a trip that is right for you. He was also kind enough to take many pictures of my partner and I.
We cut tea (not very well), identified many varieties of birds including 3 of the 4 Kingfishers varieties.
Swam in the local river.
Met a family of monkeys.
Saw 23 elephants at sunset.
Had an excellent lunch.
Went to tiger cave.
Some small walks by ourselves.
Saw Munnar market.
We left our hotel at 10.30am and returned by 19.00pm by our own choosing. We could have stayed longer.
The day was epic and we highly recommend you do something similar.

Absolutely great ! - Great day trip! Our highlights were the swimming (never seen such a beautiful place before in our life) - and of course the wild elephants! Our guide Suresh speaks excellent English and did a great job explaining us all kind of different stuff we asked him about plants and wildlife! And he was giving us as much time as we liked to have at the different spots, so we could really enjoy this day trip! Lunch was also good and the included hotel pickup and drop off was very comfortable! Next time for sure again Munnar Info!

Enjoyable day in Munnar - My husband and I spent an adventurous day with Mr. Senthil of Munnar Info. We were able to see many of the attractions of Munnar including the tea estates, various treks and waterfalls and of course, elephants bathing in the river. Mr. Senthil was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and provided great information throughout the tour. If you are short on time like us (we had only one day to spend in Munnar), I highly recommend this very thorough tour.

Once in a lifetime experience - I wasn’t sure what I expected when I booked this tour but it exceeded all expectations. Mr.Ganesh was a an amazing tour guide and allowed us to cover a lot in one day, it was the perfect mix! Within the day we covered waterfalls, a small trek, tiger cave and even got to see elephants (it was an added bonus that most of these places had 0 tourists). I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Great tour with mix of tourist and hidden gems - We did two activities, Top Station sunrise hike and the wild elephant tour. We were with our guide Suresh both days. He took us to many more local and hidden spots that most tourists don’t get a chance to see. He also was passionate about animals and made a point to keep an eye out for them and stop the car whenever we saw an interesting one. Awesome!
