Fantastic trek through the tea plantations and grasslands of munnar - We did this hike with raja. It was a wonderful trek, one that we would not have managed on our own. We met with raja at the Munnarinfo meeting point and first walked to the town to get to the entry point into the tea plantations. The walk through the plantations was amazing in both scenery and the history that raja filled us on regarding how tea arrived in munnar and also information on the processing of tea in munnar and the stages of tea processing, it was also interesting to learn what makes different kinds of tea. Raja is very knowledgeable when it comes to local plants, flowers and herbs and takes the time to point anything interesting on the path. Higher up from the tea plantations we trekked into the mountains and grasslands. This was real tropical wild hiking sometimes in areas without designated paths. Raja really knows his way around these mountains. He also adds a personal touch to the trek by bringing along delicious tea, snacks and lunch cooked by his wife. We were also touched to hear his personal connection to munnar and his family’s history in the tea plantations. The absolute highlight was when we ran into a herd of six elephants on the mountain and were able to observe them in their habitat. Raja has a skill for tracking any signs of elephants, is super knowledgeable and keeps the group safe. I would highly recommend this day long trek through the mountains of munnar with Munnarinfo and guide raja.

Fantastic experience - facilitated by a lovely guide - Excellent trek Trip was facilitated by Raja who also bad so much knowledge and experience on local plant life. We had a thorough conversation about the tea leaves; including its history and its processing. I did the half day option which I got plenty out of - hike was a good mix of chill in the beginning and intense in the end. This was coupled with a lovely snack (best tea I had in a long time). Could not recommend this enough. Highlight of my trip to Munnar.

Lovely walk and well organised - A lovely tour with a very knowledgable guide Raja. Although the weather was misty and rainy , we got really nice views at the beginning of the walk of tea plantations. We walk lots at home and felt that the walk was set at an appropriate difficulty for us. We also saw lots of birds, a giant Indian squirrel and signs of elephants! We learnt lots about the local flora throughout the day too. We had a tasty lunch and snack during the day too. The tour felt very organised and we would recommend this to anyone Thank you again!

Absolutely amazing hike - This was the most amazing hike! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! It was just us (the two of us) and our guide, Raja, who was so lovely. He explained so much about the history of tea and how it is made, as well as all the beautiful local plants growing and how they use them in the local area. The views were absolutely unbelievable and it was incredible walking through the tea plantations. He also brought us delicious homemade snacks, tea and lunch made by his wife which was so kind. 10/10 - would definitely recommend!

Wonderful guided hike in Munnar - The views were amazing and felt well deserved after some good hiking! Raja has amazing knowledge about all the different fruits and plants in the forest - it was a real treat to learn from him! The homemade lunch and never ending supply of tea, fruit and snacks helped power us through :)

Amazing experience with Raja - The day was awesome. My guide was named Raja and he took very good care of me. Not only was the trek very informative but we also sat and ate at breathtaking spots. Raja has lots of knowledge and explained the whole tea cultivating, harvesting and process till we consume it. We also knew lots about other plants and history of the place and as we hiked he explained and answered every question I had. He also had drinks like the tea we so much talked about, snacks and very tasty home cooked food. The hike itself was also beautiful since we passed lots of nice places. 100% recommended!
