Fantastic energy and food! - Ryo was fantastic, he had great energy and knowledge of the area and cuisine. We would never have found these fantastic eating spots without his insider knowledge. He also sent us a list of places try for the remaining days we are in town.

Funnest experience - It was my first time in Tokyo and was lost as to where to go. A friend of mine had recommended we see RYO. It did not disappoint. I would recommend him to anyone, very personable and an all around stand out human. Aside from his character the guy knows where the best spots are. 10/10 food and experience. Will be coming back as soon as I can with my family.

MUST do if you love good food and good company - Ryo is a legend. Forget wasting time looking places up this man has the spots AND the food dialed. He is charismatic and speaks English really well with jokes, banter, facts and history to add to the experience. We got the Wagyu beef and tried everything he recommended. Did not disappoint.

Amazing tour with a great guide - One of the best food tours I've done. Was great to see a less touristy side of Tokyo and visit the kind of places where people go to eat after work. I learnt a lot about the different areas of Ginza, and what Japanese food is like at home. And all the food and drinks we had were really tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Exploring the food of Ginza with Ryo was perfection! - After doing 4 food tours in Japan and counties around the world, I can say that this experience with Ryo was one of my favorite. Especially comparing to the ones that I did in Osaka and Kyoto - the quality of food shared during this tour through Ginza was of MUCH better quality. In fact each morsel eaten was delicious and I have already shared recommendations for his food tour and the restaurants we went to to local friends and friends/family visiting Tokyo in the future. Thank you Ryo for the great experience and stories of exploring the foods of Ginza with your grandmother growing up! Wishing you much success in your photography and food tour businesses - you are certain to be a success!

Seriously… 10 stars out of 5! - If we could give this 10 stars out of 5 we would. FABULOUS evening with Ryo this week. In addition to providing lots of context around food culture in Tokyo, he took us to 3 amazing - and truly hidden - izakaya’s. As he pointed out… the best of the best is either below ground or up a floor or 2; rarely on street level … and was he ever right! We were clearly the only tourists in each spot, and everything he selected for us was delicious - we were stuffed by the end of the evening. He also gave us a lesson on how to find the best quality sake, which we’ve used every meal since. Ryo was smart, funny and super knowledgeable (oh… and he’s actually a pro photographer and took some great shots). Thanks for a fabulous night Ryo!

Fantastic - Awesome service Ryo provides for foreigners. If you think you know Japan.. you don’t… and you should probably have a local show you the real food cuisine the beautiful people of Japan have to offer. You will NOT regret it. Seriously a must considering how confusing it is to navigate let alone find good food. There’s levels to the food game in Japan and he has it down. Thank you!

Experience and knowledge that only a true local would know. - Wow where to start? Ryo is all the things you are looking for in a guide and a human. He is punctual, knowledgeable, fluent in two languages, funny and most of all kind. He has an amazing taste in setting and flavors that he is eager to share. The places we ate at would be near impossible for a non local to find. Ryo can cater your experience to whatever you wish and is highly flexible. Tokyo can be a daunting place with a lot of hidden verticality. A guide for at least one night is extremely recommended so ryo is your guy! You will not regret it I promise you I have nothing bad to say! Thank you Ryo, looking forward to our next adventure!

10/10 experience! - Me and a few of my buddies went with Ryo to a bunch of restaurants and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. He’s super enjoyable to be around and easy to talk to. The places he takes you to eat are also amazing and are hard to find on your own. If you are in Tokyo he is a must go. 10/10 experience! It made my trip to Tokyo.

Best memorable experience in Japan - Ryo had made my trip in Tokyo much more memorable with all the hidden places that I would never be able to go on my own. For sure next trip in Tokyo I will reserve him to be my guide again. The Sake Bar experience was the best, thank you Ryo, I had learned a lot more than just drinking 🥰
