Even for those not climbing, the 5th Station offers breathtaking views of the surrounding areas, such as the Japanese Alps, and on clear days, views of Tokyo and the Pacific Ocean. For climbers heading to the summit, this is a common starting point, with the ascent typically taking about 5-7 hours. The Shuttle Service to Mt. Fuji 5th Station operates from July 6th to September 10th each year during the hiking season, with a fee of ¥2500 Japanese (approximately $20 USD).

Chureito Pagoda - Chureito Pagoda, part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine complex, is a famous five-story pagoda located in Fujiyoshida, Japan. It is renowned for its stunning views of Mt. Fuji, particularly during the cherry blossom season in spring and the vibrant autumn foliage. The pagoda offers one of the most iconic views of Mt. Fuji, often framed by cherry blossoms in spring or colorful leaves in autumn. The best photography spot is from a viewing platform a short walk up the hill. It is located about 400 steps up from the base, so be prepared for a bit of a climb. The pagoda was built in 1963 as a peace memorial to honor the soldiers from Fujiyoshida who died in wars. Spring (for cherry blossoms) and autumn (for fall colors) are the most popular times to visit. However, it offers stunning views throughout the year, including snow-capped Mt. Fuji.

Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a collection of eight beautiful ponds located in the village of Oshino, near Mt. Fuji in Japan. These ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mt. Fuji that has filtered down through the mountain over several decades, resulting in exceptionally clear and pure water. Oshino Hakkai is a popular destination for both tourists and locals due to its scenic beauty and cultural significance. The eight ponds are named Deguchi, Okama, Sokonashi, Choshi, Waku, Nigori, Kagami, and Shobu. Each pond has its own unique features and historical significance.
