Fun, educational and delicious - must see and do! - Out of the places and things we did in Japan, this sushi class was among the most enjoyable. The location wasn’t hard to find. At first we found it strange that it was at a karaoke building but it actually worked out very well. The room was well air conditioned and there was a lot of room for us, the instructor, and the materials. We could clearly see and hear the instructor and the translator. There were 4 of us. 2 adults, our 17yo son and our 13yo daughter. You will be slicing fish with a knife so make sure younger participants are sufficiently mature. We learned about how the rice was prepared, how to cut the sushi, and how to make the sushi. The instructor spoke in Japanese but there was a knowledgeable and very friendly English translator. We had no problems understanding at all. Not only was this class educational and fun, but the sushi was also quite good if I may say so. We were also surprised at the generous quantity of sushi they provided. Strongly recommended!
