A terrific day touring Tokyo with a wonderful local guide. - Taku-san was on time for my wife and me, in tow with a very nice driver, Goto-san. The van was very spacious for two and had a glass roof so we could enjoy the sites above us as we drove around Tokyo. Taku-san has a mechanical engineering background and is able to explain technical things. He's very intelligent, organized, has good command of sophisticated English, and is supremely prepared. Before the tour, he emailed us a spreadsheet of our itinerary, specifying a description and start time for each of the planned activities. We told him in advance of our interests in history and culture. He set the itinerary accordingly and adjusted it to incorporate our request for a particular additional site. He came with a notebook of information relevant to our interests, effectively displayed in photos, maps, diagrams, and large-font spreadsheets. For instance, he had photos of a Shinto wedding ceremony and of art depicting the origin of the deity that inspired and guarded a Buddhist temple we saw. He had also created an easily digestible spreadsheet summarizing Japan's history over 2,600 years as a springboard for his more detailed explanation and our discussion. These devices facilitated our better understanding of Japan's history, religions, customs, and geography. Taku-san was also extremely considerate and accommodating. He took us to shops for specific gifts we wanted and to a fantastic place for lunch that met our dietary restrictions. Taku-san was both friendly and professional. He was cordial with everyone and worked seamlessly with his driver. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend him.

Best Tour, Best Guide Yoshi!! - Yoshi was the most incredible tour guide! He asked for our priorities of what to see and then put together an entire itinerary ending with the most beautiful views of Tokyo! He explained the history of each site, took a bunch of photos of both me and my son and was extremely accommodating, moving at our pace and focusing on what was most important to us. Thank you so much Yoshi, we had the most amazing experience in Tokyo thanks to you!!

Tokyo in a day - history, gardens, food and museum tour. - Posh contacted us before our trip and met us on arrival in Tokyo. A great start to an interesting day exploring the quieter side of Tokyo….away from the tourist traps. After a stop at the Imperial Palace, we visited historic temples and beautiful gardens, tasted local specialties in an historic area of Eastern Tokyo (similar to, but even better than the Yanaka district). In the afternoon Posh took us through Museums, before he took us to fantastic spot for a lunch of Ramen. To finish the day, we shared coffee and desert with Posh. Above and beyond (as we lost an item at Tokyo Station) - Posh stayed in touch over the following week, to help us retrieve the item from lost and found. He went above and beyond!

An excellent private day tour spent in Tokyo - Excellent communications between our travel agent Amy (Sonia Jones Travel) and through Viator with Minoru Sakamoto our English speaking guide based in Tokyo, Japan. We were picked up from our cruise ship and followed a pre-determined itinerary until dropped off at Narita Airport for our flight home. We both had a great day enjoying a private tour with Minoru San and a driver in a airconditioned modern vehicle. We also had a pre booked café (Chaya Natural & Wild) in Hibiya for lunch which catered for many dietary needs ie gluten free which is hard to find in Japan.

Blink and you'll miss it - Felt very rushed, 6 hours definitely isn't enough when your exploring a place as expansive as Tokyo. Would definitely recommend doing a full day or multiple day tour. Host and driver were friendly and accommodating, and offered some insights into location and history which was appreciated.

Misguided tour in Tokyo - We started our tour with Elizabeth as our guide. The first stop was ok until we looked at her and snot was running down her face and she was sweating profusely. Not sure if she was sick. We tried not to look at her face after that. The second stop was the imperial place. We learned about it from the signs we read on the grounds not from her. She forgot to bring her data. We walked around a garden for an hour and never saw any kind of a palace. Just some ruins as explained by the signage at the sight. We stopped in Ginza for about 10 min. To look at a Nissan car and a seiko watch. We were told nothing of the area. Next we went to the Shibuya crossing. Again she could not answer any of our simple questions. After crossing back she wanted to take our picture and then told us and the taxi driver she was finished with the tour. We paid extra for the taxi to come out to our hotel and for her to stay with us. The driver didn’t sound too happy with her abandoning us for the drive back to our hotel in Urayasu because he spoke no English. We also were supposed to have one more stop. The driver was fantastic!! Kondoh took out his phone and used a translator app to tell us about things we were passing by on the way back. We used our app to ask him more questions. He was so nice and accommodating. We would not choose to tour again with this company. We felt like Elizabeth was the only person they could get to work that Sunday.
