Imperial Palace Tour - Mieke was a wonderful guide. She provided current and historical information and fun facts we wouldn’t have discovered if we had wandered the palace grounds on our own. She was thoughtful and patient. She even brought mosquito repellent to share. My son and I highly recommend a tour with Miele.

Easy and informative tour - After weeks of traveling through Japan, my husband and I last minute opted to do a tour of the Imperial Palace Garden and Edo Castle instead of walking it ourselves. Miyu provided a wonderful tour experience that was exactly what we were looking for - interesting information about Japan's and the royal family's history in an easy to follow walking tour. We did not have to read/interpret anything or figure out the route to walk through the area. As it was middle of August, it was incredibly hot and Miyu was very thoughtful about stopping in places to give us a quick AC/water break or keep us in the shade as best as possible. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get the most out of the Palace area + Edo Castle and is unable to get tickets for the official government walking tour.

Firsthand Experience of Tokyo History - The tour was lovely and allowed us to see all parts of the Imperial Palace Gardens. Our guide, Wakana, was very friendly and knowledgable and truly cared that we had an enjoyable experience. Even during a thunderstorm, when we had to shelter in the rest house, she entertained us with historical stories that provided context for the gardens, palace and grounds. The gardens are old growth and very very beautiful. It’s a must see. And we enjoyed the tour despite the weather.
