Mount Kenya - Amazing trip and beautifully organised. Outdoor Africa were very efficient, very friendly and our guide James Mwangi was excellent. We felt very safe in his hands.

Amazing way to start the year - I can't recommend Africa Outdoors highly enough. From first contact, Willy was helpful, clear and responsive so we felt confident about what we were taking on. The team he put together for our climb was brilliant. James Mwangi, with his decades experience as a guide and in mountain rescue, made me relax, trust the pace he set and his judgement about how to summit. With his expertise, we summited early, missing the clouds, and we didn't suffer from the altitude. The amazing meals by Kim our cook were tailored to hiking at altitude and gave us the energy we needed. The cheerful porters (Anna, James, Paul, Nelson and Geoffrey) removed all the usual hard work of camping, while small touches, like hot water, soap and flannels brought to us and our 'dining' tent, complete with table and chairs, made us feel so well-cared for. Above all, I'll remember the endless, contagious laughter of the Africa Outdoors team as we lay exhausted in our tent after a hard day. Thank you so much everyone. What a fantastic start to 2024! Amazing hike in Mt Kenya to Lenana Point - I recommend this hike 100%. It was the perfect combination of beautiful scenery and a challenging summit. Willy from African Outdoors was always available on what’s app to answer any of my questions and my guide James was spectacular providing lots of laughs and motivation when needed. His level of fitness was almost unnatural. A true super hero.!! The food provided was filling and tasted great and the rest of the the porters and chef did a great job.

Best climb ever - Willy and his team were just superb with us! My friend and I had an amazing time on Mt. Kenya. Our guide James was kind and encouraging especially to me whose first time it was to climb such a high mountain. The food was delicious and more enough, the porters were great! I would recommend African Outdoors to anyone who wants to climb Mt. Kenya.

Mt. Kenya Trek (Chogoria- Sirimon Route) - We had a incredible experience hiking Mt Kenya with Africa Outdoors from the Chogoria Gate, down the Sirimon Route. Would definitely recommend!! Willy was so accommodating and helpful in preparation, and James is a trustworthy guide who set a steady pace and helped our team stay healthy and safe and enjoy summiting the mountain. Beautiful views every day, delicious meals and snacks, and wonderful company. I would love to go again sometime!

Willy and James will get you to the top - Willy and his guide James did an incredible job getting our crew of 5 up and down the mountain. One of our group had his flights delayed and the airline lost his bag that had all his hiking gear in it. Willy went out of his way to go and get our friends bag at the Nairobi airport and drive it all the way up to Chogoria gate and drop it off just in time for him to start his trek. James is an expert guide with more than 30 years experience and is also one of the leaders of the Mt Kenya high altitude rescue team. We were in good hands. The porters were great setting up camp. The cook cooked so much food every meal and it was really good. If you’re planning on summitting Mt Kenya Will and his team should be your guides.

Asanteni Willy , James and team - There are not enough characters to express the gratitude and appreciation , Willy, James and team! Willy is super responsive even at 12am when he should not be answering questions, it was smooth process from the first time I made contact with Africa Outdoors to reaching the summit and finally exiting Mt Kenya. There was an excellent team of guides, porters and cooks who gave me the most delicious meals and provided words of encouragement. I am so happy with Africa Outdoors that I will be using them for my future adventures at Rwenzori and Kili!

Amazing service by Africa Outdoors - We were a spirit of 8 souls, five girls and 3 boys determined to hit kilele Lenana. Mt. Kenya here we come. Willie and his team of captain James Mwangi were just the right mix that we needed. The team of porters like Muchori and the amazing soul of Samido were the cornerstone of this adventure. You know that situation where you feel like giving up but then you remember the humorous Samido? That is what was running in my head. Food was amazing, I could not believe eating better at this freezing mountain than my house. Sasa, bibi lazima aimprove food hapa on earth! If I can eat this at the mountain surely here on planet earth it has to be six stars. Anyway, let me stop my many stories but if anyone out there are looking for a great Mt. Kenya hike you are covered, what they promised they delivered. My only take is now for KWS to improve on their side. We need toilets and housing! The roads are super and the trails are great.

Pole Pole Kenya - We did Mt Kenya with Africa Outdoors and we had an amazing & fun experience. Thanks our lead guide Mr James (Bond) and Willy for a very memorable hiking experience and also helping us reach to point Lenana. I would definately recommend Africa Outdoors to anyone wanting to climb Mt Kenya. Also try the Chogoria - Sirimon route as this was most scenic route and also less busy.
