With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only Park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than its geological features.\n\nHowever, most of the 1.5 million acres in the Park are flooded and essentially out of reach for the average visitor. Everglades Area Tours has been providing educational excursions since the 1990s. Our guides are professionally trained, full-time Florida Master Naturalists with significantly more experience than others. Although Everglades National Park is a wilderness with truly wild wildlife, our decades of experience offer the best chances to find, observe, and photograph these creatures. We are the “Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride.” Airboats are prohibited in the Park where we conduct our tours.
