• Duga Radar Russian Woodpecker - Upon entering the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, you’ll explore the deserted military town of Chernobyl-2 and the “Russian Woodpecker” - an OTH Radar known as “DUGA-1”.

The system was operational from July 1976 to December 1989. Two Duga radars were in use, one near Chernobyl and Chernihiv in the Ukrainian SSR (now Ukraine), and the other in eastern Siberia.

You’ll visit the most intriguing spots:

• Soldier’s club - featuring a well-preserved gym;
• High school for military officers;
• Fire station with a detailed model of the military town Chernobyl-2 and the “Russian Woodpecker”;
• Main communication center building with a mock trajectory of ballistic missiles around the earth;
• Radar station technical tunnel - a legendary location from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. computer game.
• Chernobyl - After the “Duga” radar station, you’ll explore the unfinished cooling tower next to CNPP phase 3. The ‘Power Plant Cooling Towers’ are two incomplete concrete giants near the construction site of Reactors 5 and 6 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Currently, the towers stand as industrial ruins.

Following the cooling towers, you’ll visit a unique abandoned laboratory of Radiobiology and Radioecology near the Chernobyl power plant.

The laboratory, located a few kilometers from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, contains samples of eggs and small fish. It was abandoned by one of the enterprises in the Chernobyl zone.

• Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant - Next, you’ll visit the Pripyat monument and the CNPP observation point, followed by an authentic Chernobyl lunch at the CNPP canteen.

The New Safe Confinement (NSC or New Shelter, sometimes called Arka) is a structure built to contain the remains of reactor unit 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was destroyed in the 1986 disaster. This structure also encloses the temporary Shelter Structure (sarcophagus) that was erected around the reactor immediately after the disaster. The New Safe Confinement is designed to prevent the release of radioactive contaminants, protect the reactor from external influences, facilitate the disassembly and decommissioning of the reactor, and prevent water intrusion.

• Pryp’yat’ - In the latter part of the day, you’ll explore Prypiat with an experienced guide. You’ll visit the most interesting and officially accessible locations such as:

• City central square: Palace of Culture - “Energetik” and more.

• Amusement park.

• Middle school No. 3.

• Kindergarten “Teremok”

• III Microdistrict;

• Police Station - Prypiat’s Police Station. Prypiat’s Police. ROVD - district department of internal affairs.

• Fire Station №6 - Following the initial explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Paramilitary Fire Brigade No. 6 was quickly dispatched, with the call coming at 2:29.

• The Mobile Mechanized Autocade №35 - a vehicle repair facility and garage on the outskirts of Pripyat.

• Engineering grab bucket - used to clear highly active graphite blockages from the roof of the Chernobyl NPP machine hall.

• Factory “Jupiter” - one of the most mysterious and confidential places in the Zone…

• Jupiter Radiotechnology Factory - After the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 led to the abandonment of Pripyat, some employees returned to Jupiter, transforming the factory into a radiological laboratory for testing various decontamination techniques and developing dosimetric instruments. The factory continued operations until 1996; today, it stands abandoned.
