The BEST surf experience - Had the best time surfing at Drill Hall with Dread or Dead! My instructor (Axe) lead me seamlessly through my 2 hour lesson. Having minimal experience on a board, I was hoping to catch only a few waves. With Axe’s help I was able to pop up on every single one and even practiced turning. I’ll definitely be back, next time hopefully for a surf camp!

The Perfect Surf School - The instructors at Dread Or Dead are the perfect instructors for surf lessons. Knowledgable, patient, supportive and hey adapt to any level seamlessly. I will be coming back and hopefully can continue my surfing education.

Amazing Surfing Experience at Brandon’s Beach - Three instructors (Russell, Ax, Paul) from Dread or Dead are awesome! They are friendly and patient. The class is two hour long. You can learn at your own pace. Highly recommend any beginners to come here and have fun!

Most amazing experience - Loviest instructors, so talented and friendly, as someone who had never surfed before I was standing and surfing on my very first lesson. I had to go back as I loved it so much. Best price around and everything included. Cant wait to come back.

A must do in Barbados - We had the best 3 days with Ty and Axe. It was the first time surfing for all of us but they coached us through everything and we were catching our own waves by the end. Our two children (8 and 11) couldn’t stop smiling. Such a lovely, family run business and highly recommended

Fun Experience - I booked this as a gift for my husband and sister-in-law and they have an amazing time. The hosts were wonderful and did a great job of keeping everyone safe.

Surfing on Drill Beach - I had a private lesson with Matthew it was brilliant. I was up and riding all the way to the shore in about 30 minutes and that's all down to Matthew. He was always positive, relaxed and giving me great advice. I strongly recommend anyone who's thought about trying surfing to look no further. The boards were great and the whole experience was awesome. Cheers guys!

Tropical Surf Session - If you want to catch a bunch of waves in a tropical paradise, book a lesson through Dread or Dead surf school. Great people, rental boards, and vibes. Matthew was our instructor and he made sure my sister and I surfed the best waves for the conditions and our ability. I also highly recommend booking a photo session with Alan. Best souvenirs of the trip! A must do when in Barbados!

Great- do it again and again. - Great teachers, had surf lessons with Mathew, Axe and Ty (from old to young) at Dover beach this year. Taking very good care, good boards and perfect advise how to do better.

Instructor needs a tourist holiday! - After reading all the good reviews we decided to book a lesson as a couple on our last day in Barbados. We had never surfed before so wasn’t expecting much of the day. The surf instructor (Axi or Ax I think his name was) was good and quickly I was surfing the waves. My wife wasn’t so fortunate and fell off a lot but was still having fun. The reason for this poor review is language behind my wife’s back. He hadnt realised I was behind him when he had helped my wife catch a wave. Unfortunately she fell off the board again and I heard him clearly say “ f……ing tourists”! I never said anything to him as I didn’t want to ruin the lesson for my wife. Is this really what you want to hear from your instructor? Needless to say when we do come back to the island next year we will definitely not be using this surf school as there are many others to try and hopefully one with more patience!!
