Interesting "visit" to Antarctica - We enjoyed our interactive day which included a polar vehicle ride, a cold weather simulation environment, visits with sled dogs and penguins and the various Antarctic exploration exhibits we learned a lot and had an enjoyable visit..

Whānau and friends explore Antartica in our own backyard! - First off paying for 9 I was concerned about the expense but my goodness me it was worth every cent and more! We had a fantastic time so much to see and do. The favourites were the Husky encounter with Joe . The Haagerland adventure , the hand ice water challenge , the 4D cinema and of course the Storm! Wow! Thank you such a day full of memories and learning.

Well worth the entrance fee - What an interesting place to visit. There were so many different exhibits/displays/activities. My favorites were the 4D film and being in the blizzard, but I found all of them worthwhile - I covered everything.. the films were beautifully photographed.

Antarctic centre day out - Such a great day out. Would recommend the CHC Shuttle if you staying in central christchurch and don't do this when you land. Great exhibitions with lots of information around NZ contribution within Antarctica.

Great last experience before flying home. - Fantastic centre showcasing Antarctica. Great start with a ride in a snow vehicle used in Antarctica on a obstacle course. Amazing snowstorm room with winds and temperature dropping to -40 degrees. Beautiful Husky dogs. 4D experience well worth the visit.

Our New Zealand Arrival - We walked off the plane from Singapore to the museum where the staff kindly accommodated our luggage. The information available was very good and we enjoyed our chilling experience together with the various films. The penguins were very stationary but we weren't there at feeding time so we only gave them a very quick viewing. The huskies were there and the guardian was very informative. We had a decent lunch in the restaurant and then a deviation to the nearest supermarket (thanks to the restaurant staff for directions!) to obtain smaller currency denominations (ATM gave 50s!) for the bus fare into Christchurch. A very successful arrival into Christchurch thanks to all.

Overpriced - Exhibits are okay and interesting enough, but found it way overpriced for extras like cheesy arctic storm and “4D” film effects where chair rocks a little. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at current price level. Especially when compared to excellent exhibition at Mt Cook NP Visitor center which is free.
