- Christchurch Adventure Park - With 1.8km length, the Christchurch Adventure Park chairlift is the longest in New Zealand. The simple load and unload system takes any hassle out of getting on and off. The view from the chair and the top are some of the best in Christchurch with unobstructed sights of the city, Southern Alps, and the ocean. The Sightseer Pass can be used from opening at 10am until 4pm (an hour before the chairlift closes). The 1.8km ride takes between 9-12 minutes to get from the bottom station to the top of the hill. If you are in the mood for some activity you could also walk up or down our hiking trail for free. Once you are done with the chairlift pop into our cafe/bar for some drinks and food.

Zip lining in Christchurch - What a great experience. Guides were brilliant, everything explained clearly, anxiety reassured! Range of ages in our group. Fun activity for the whole family.

Fabulous views from Llyttleton and the Port Hills to the Western Ranges - Great service. Fabulous views and the staff running the lift were very helpful and friendly. Family visiting from overseas loved the views and walking around the area. A real highlight of their visit to Christchurch.

Well worth the ride and repeat experience! - My husband, 2 kids and I, went on the chair lift for the first time on January 8th 2025. It was a fantastic experience and one we will definitely repeat.
Staff were all pleasant and directed us well. Explained how things worked and everything went smoothly.
We all loved the thrill of being up high and it was a fun family experience my husband could enjoy with us even with his back problems.
We will definitely come again and we will save up for a zip line experience as well because that looked AMAZING!

Christchurch Holiday - Amazing attraction. Fantastic views. Park offers lots of activities including mountain bike riding, ziplines, chairlift and more.
Fantastic options for all.

Chairlift is a spirit lift! - Great price for amazing view and experience. Much better than being on a gondola.
The worst part though is that it's quite difficult to get there if you're using public transport.

A great activity - for all ages - Fantastic staff at all parts of the site - even though they were quite young (and had probably been working all day by the time we got there late in the afternoon), they were ALL courteous, polite, and helpful. We were given tickets as a gift for the chair lift and it was great - highly recommended for non-bikers to enjoy the park and the view. Also makes a great gift, and a great place to take out-of-towners. (recommend that you dress warmly - it can be coolish - even with a slight breeze).

Bit if a walk on uneven... - Bit of a walk on uneven ground among lots of cyclists to get to the start of the lift. Also very uneven ground and a bit of difficulty getting to seats to take in the view.l, and have to dodge mountain bikers who are very keen to start their awesome downhill journey!! Definitely take this into account if your mobility is at all limited.

Magnificent view of the south - A breathtaking view of Christchurch, countryside and to the ocean. You really get to embrace the beautiful view of NZ South Island and the rich green hills. Highly recommend for families and couples. Be sure to rug up when windy!

Sign missing for turn off! - Firstly came from Hoon Hay Road in and drive pass turn off later discovered sign for turn off only for traffic coming opposite way, so on way back saw it, ride itself was a decent one and only complaint would be the seat are extremely uncomfortable and second very cold day so wrapped on warm but clothes all dirty due to state of all seat not good, but glad we did it

Disappointed - No prior notification for a prepaid chairlift ride to advise that the park was closed on the day of our booking. Awaiting refund from Viator. Disappointed
