What an amazing day! - Our day at the farm and winery was amazing! The day far exceeded our expectations! The farm was incredible to see with picturesque landscapes. Lunch was exceptional and delicious! Our guide Simon was incredible. We had accidentally booked the wrong date for the tour initially but Geoff and Joy were a pleasure to work with and got everything squared away without any issues!! I highly recommend this tour!!

Arizonans visit New Zealand - Absolutely wonderful tour; we only had 5!in our group so it was a small & intimate experience! Simon was outstanding, super-friendly and informative!! We booked just one day beforehand in a whim, totally worth the impromptu tour! So much greenery!! We learned so much!

Great Day Trip to the Sheep Farm, Antique Tracker Collection, Visit with Donnie the American Miniature and wine tasting. - We had a very nice time on our Glenafric Farm tour a couple days ago. One of the things that was very interesting and made this trip even better was the Antique Tracker Collection that we got to spend some time viewing and asking questions. Again, an OUTSTANDING visit to the Glenafric Farm, and all the other places we also had a chance to visit that day. At the Farm we had a nice visit with two of the owners and got to watch an interesting show of how Shearing is done nowadays at a smaller family run farm. We also had a chance to watch the herding dogs in action, which is very impressive, and they surely work hard to keep all the sheep moving along in the right direction, and at the right time. Our Driver / Guide was also great! He really knows all about the entire area, and was so good at keeping things on track that day. Oh yes, we can't forget to mention good old Donnie, the American Miniature who is so friendly and willing to eat carrots from all of us. But... then what American Miniature wouldn't be interested in eating as many carrots as people are willing to give him! The provided lunch was also very large and tasty, and even came with some edible flowers from the garden of the person that makes this incredible lunch. Thanks again, Kurt and Betty

Enjoyable Private Tour of a Family-owned Sheep Farm - This was a great look into a family-run sheep farm. I was very happy that the tour was not cancelled even though I was the only person on the tour, due to a cruise ship not arriving in Christchurch as expected. I got to watch sheep herding, sheep shearing, and the highlight of my bottle feeding a lamb. Tour included a stop to pick up a box lunch and to feed Donnie, an American Miniature pony.

Tour great, administrative staff poor. - The farm tour itself was excellent! We enjoyed it immensely. However, the administrative staff was poor. We left nine voice messages with Geoff whose number was on the website when we booked and he did not return one of our calls. We accidentally booked on the wrong day and wanted to make some changes. No response from the office at all. For those of us travelling internationally this was very distressing.

Best excursion while visiting New Zealand - We just loved our visit to the sheep farm. The information given on the tour was very interesting to hear as we learned about the techniques used for sheep husbandry. We learned there is a lot of science behind the care of the animals. It was so fun to watch the dog herd the sheep and to watch the shearing of one. The farm land is so beautiful. There are sheep and cattle everywhere. The lunch served after the tour of the farm was delicious and beautifully presented. The farm was so beautiful with high hills and deep river valleys all set on the ocean. The rancher and his family have such a deep love for their work and their land and a long connection to it. An added bonus was seeing the antique tractor collection! The tour is a must do while visiting New Zealand!!

Fantastic day out on a beautiful farm, great food and exceptional wines! - My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Real New Zealand Farm Tour. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. The scenery was simply stunning—rolling hills and expansive views. The animals on the farm were delightful, we hand-feed some beautiful sheep. Our guide, Simon, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole experience even better by sharing interesting insights about the farm and New Zealand's farming culture, and his warm personality really made the day enjoyable. The lunch was delicious. Everything was so fresh and satisfying. To top it all off, we ended our day with a wine tasting at Georges Road Wines. The wines were fantastic, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect end to a perfect day. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the charm of New Zealand’s countryside, enjoy some great food, and taste some exceptional wines!

Unique experience on a family sheep farm and so much more! - Wonderful and unique experience. Geoff has cultivated remarkable relationships with the sheep farming family and organic farm- to-table luncheon caterers and so much more. This is a special one in a lifetime experience and a huge must for the area!
