No height sickness! - Beautiful views with a lovely ride up to get there. I do get height sick but I only experienced that briefly on the way down.

Best views - Great way to see the area. It's a beautiful view at the top with a small bistro and gift shop. The portions at the bistro are large-you can easily share an order of fries amongst 2-3 people. The views can't be beat! Gorgeous and stunning!

Beautiful - You can see the beauty NZ has to offer. Should be able to give a short answer or people won't do your survey

Christchurch Gondola - The Gondola can be very busy, especially if there is a cruise ship visiting that day. Check times and expected crowd capacity before you go.

Fabulous views & food - We got up to the gondola around 10:30am as the mist was clearing over Christchurch. The 360° views were spectacular, however the food or shone the views. We had the fish chowder, Prawn twizzlers, potatoe wedges and rocky road for dessert, and can honestly say the fish chowder was one of the best we have every had.

Christchurch - I’m a trip on the gondola was fairly standard. Nothing other than the beautiful view stood out. A few hiccups with the gondola itself stopping halfway through, but apparently that was normal. Food was average at the top in the café but apart from a few things cakes were still like they’ve been in there for a while and the fish wasn’t fresh will do it again in the winter when it’s much prettier

Transalpine to Arthur’s Pass and Shuttle Back to Christchurch - The train to Arthur’s Pass was great: amazing views, comfortable, decent snacks. Once at Arthur’s Pass our shuttle driver recommended a great challenging hike that led to a beautiful waterfall. It took 30 min to walk there, and 30 min to walk back, with 400 stairs. Perfect for stretching the legs. From there, we stopped at 3 scenic spots for about 5 min for photos, then magical Castle Rock for 30 min for a short hike. I would recommend this trip for all kinds of abilities. There are opportunities to get out of the van if you like, or stay in the van if you prefer. But the steps in and out may be challenging for someone with a disability. The only downside to this trip is the very long drive back to your hotel, during rush hour traffic. I had chosen this shorter Tranzalpine trip because it didn’t seem like there was much to do and see in Greymouth overnight, and trying to do and out and back to Greymouth in the same day seemed too long. But in retrospect, it probably would have taken the same amount of time considering the shuttle in traffic scenario. You just wouldn’t get to experience the hikes. Our guide was great: professional, patient, provided all sorts of snacks and water.

Good views - Nice views. Gift shopping Café at the top, but unless you want to do a big hike, not much else to see.
