Aoraki, its Maori name, stands at approximately 12,218 feet above sea level, with its neighbor Mount Tasman at 11,476 feet. Experience the region’s beauty at 8,000 feet above sea level. • Aoraki Mount Cook National Park (Te Wahipounamu) - Reboard the helicopter to fly over the Tasman Glacier, known as Haupapa in Maori, the largest glacier in New Zealand, nearly 15 miles long and 2,000 feet thick. Return to Christchurch via the mountains and mighty rivers.
