• Cheviot - As the day continues, the journey leads to Cheviot. Cheviot is a hidden gem and one of New Zealand’s largest coastal routes. A stop here allows for refueling and stretching. After a brief rest, the journey continues through the beautiful Hundalee hill. Keep an eye out for surfers and local wildlife – seals might even make an appearance. As the scenic road is navigated, breathtaking panoramic views unfold.
• Kaikoura - Approaching Kaikoura involves weaving down the coastal road, which is arguably the most scenic coastal road in New Zealand. Be on the lookout for wildlife and surfers!

Once in Kaikoura, the day is open for exploration. Discover the charming township and take the coastal track if on a budget. Alternatively, consider hopping on a boat, plane, or helicopter to observe local wildlife such as whales and dolphins.
