rainy day but still nice - The weather forecast was 100% chance of rain so we didn’t actually see Mt Cook. But the rest of the tour was nice. Fairlie Bakehouse had fantastic meat pies and they provided a nice lunch. The Church of the Good Shepherd was quaint and the in route lakes were pretty even in the rain. Our driver Frankie did his best to keep our spirits light and kept repeating “ trust me - it’s there” regarding any missed views.

A great day outdoors. - A great day exploring the countryside on the way to Aoraki Mount Cook National park. Our guide Will was wonderful. The stops we made along the way and his commentary made a long day on the road go by smoothly and seemingly quickly. We loved the food we got at the Fairlie Bakehouse. Although it was raining when we got to the park, his clear, detailed instructions allowed my husband to complete the entire Hooker valley walk. I would absolutely recommend this tour and company to anyone I know coming to Christchurch. I’m only sorry I didn’t sign up for another tour with them.

We had a great... - We had a great driver/guide, Joseph. Even though it was a long day, it was extremely enjoyable. We were well fed, and with plenty of rest stops. I am so glad we decided to do this tour. It was so informative, and Joseph was entertaining. The views were jaw dropping. Plenty of photos were taken. We did the Hooker Valley track at Mt. Cook. Loved it, but it being a Sunday, I suppose, it was crowded. But that didn't take away from the magnificent views. Highly recommend this tour.

Great tour, saw main attractions and tour guide made it entertaining - We had Will as our tour driver. He was excellent, he made jokes on the way but also was cheery and knowledgeable in providing us information on background information and stories. We were lucky to have on the tour on an beutiful day and the tour was worth the cost. The tour took us to the main attractions and was well planned, pickup on time, sleep in the van, coffee stop over and pie at bakehouse, few stop overs, lunch and snacks were sufficient. Thank you!

Mt Cook is far away from... - Mt Cook is far away from Christchurch, so we spent majority of the time driving there and back. On board there were WiFi, AC, and we could charge our phones. Our guide was Will, he was awesome. He was very accommodating, kept everything on time so we had no delays and could experience everything that was included in the tour. He was also giving interesting facts. We had plenty of bathroom breaks and could eat lunch on board. The tour included stops at the lakes Tekapo (twice), Pukaki. The final destination was the Hooker Valley at Mt Cook. From there we could choose from 3 options. I chose the hike through the Hooker Valley. It is a 10 km hike. Unfortunately I could not finish the hike but the valley is beautiful, so I still could enjoy the hike and made plenty photos of the Mt Cook and the valley. We had 3 hours to spend at the Mt Cook. The ride in the van was relaxing.

Beautiful scenery, mostly from the van. - The scenery is amazing and the guide was very informative and friendly. I wish I could have seen the Lupine in bloom and a little more snow on the mountains but the weather was great. It’s was a lot of driving and a little rushed when we got there but overall a very nice experience.

It is a long drive from... - It is a long drive from Christchurch, but the scenery is gorgeous and the driver informative. Mt Cook was misted over which seems to be usual and we were not willing to hike in the rain. But we found the visitor center interesting and the hotel beautiful.

A long day of limited value. - This is a long day with some interesting stops. However, the limited time at the final stop means it is probably impossible to walk far enough to get a good view of the mountain. The driver/guide we would only rate as average.
