- Otira Viaduct Lookout - Then drive down to Otira Viaduct which provide impressive views of red flowering rata in summer months & grab the opportunity to spot the inquisitive Kea (alpine parrot) well known for its cheeky nature.
- Devils Punchbowl Walking Track - Your guide will then recommend you some popular walks in the National Park with incredible views.
- Arthur’s Pass National Park Visitor Centre - After your walk enjoy 1 hours free time for lunch at a local cafe & explore the village of Arthur’s Pass.
- Kura Tawhiti Conservation Area - On your return journey, travel by road in a luxurious minivan with a few scenic stops on the way. Take a coffee break & capture stunning mirror images at Lake Person. Then wander through majestic presence of limestone rock formations at Castle Hill Conservation Area. Stretch your legs one last time at Lake Lyndon that regularly freezes in winter months. Return back & drop-off to your location in Christchurch.

Fun train ride, hiking, vistas - Exactly as listed and very enjoyable with great views at many stops and good exercise at Arthur's Pass and Castle Hill. Great guide/driver.

Arthur’s pass - We took the bus up to Arthur’s pass and train back. Great experience. The bus driver, Anuj, was fantastic. Let us enjoy the scenery, stopped at the points highlighted in your, and pointed out things along the way. Always had waters available and snacks which were appreciated

Brilliant Trip - A memorable day out for all the right reasons. We started with the mini-bus tour up to Arthur’s Pass, with a number of stops on the way for refreshments & sightseeing. Enjoyed the walk through the limestone boulders at Kura Tawhiti & the more strenuous, but well worth, climb to view the Devil’s Punchbowl Falls. We returned to Christchurch on the TranzAlpine Train, comfortable, relaxed & with the added benefit of a bottle of bubbly from the bar. All on time & we were blessed with great weather for the day. Special thanks to our guide, Anuj who was friendly, polite, knowledgeable & a good driver. The provisions of water & snacks were particularly welcome. A great day.

Excellent tour! - Excellent tour! Beautiful sights and Anuj was an amazing guide. Very punctual, responsive, considerate of all our needs. He was also very knowledgeable, informative and professional! Loved the complimentary snacks and water. We were thrilled to have Anuj again on another tour :)

Great trip despite a late start - The tour was great, the weather wasn't perfect but despite overcast conditions during the train ride and a late start due to train troubles it was enjoyable. The tour guide Anju was professional and patient and kept us up to date on everything. Castle hill walk as well as the other walks were enjoyable. The lunch stop was crowded due to other tour companies there at the same time but it was adequate for our needs. Overall I was satisfied.

Great tour! - My husband and I went on this trip last Saturday and were fortunate enough to have Anuj as our guide. He was wonderful. We especially appreciated his commentary, sense of humor and the attention that he paid to our group. The train trip was beautiful as were all the stops we made. I would highly recommend this tour, I’m sure you’ll find it to be a great value for the money.

Great day - Amazing trip. Train ride was fantastic and comfortable. Visibility wasn’t the greatest but not much anybody can do about the weather. Great tour guide - lots of information and interesting facts along the way. Good size of a group (not too big).

A reasonable amount of... - A reasonable amount of walking especially for older folk. Scenery even in summer shows off the South Island grandeur. Food pricey on the train.
