The Grange Estate
The plantation is open to the public. The black gate at the entrance will be open for tours. When you drive up the hill to the parking lot the main great house will be on your right. Walk up the steps to the entry way of the main great house.

Informative tour - This tour was full of interesting information. I enjoyed seeing the original rooms, staircases, tea cups, mirrors, and tile. The stories about the Danish royalty, sugar plantation living, and Hamilton’s life were fascinating.

An Historical Experience you should not Miss. - This was absolutely the BEST historical tour we've found on the island, The guide, Young Baker, who is also the manager of the estate, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly an historian. she was able to impart a complete history of the house and grounds and shared numerous stories and trivia bits of history regarding the property and its inhabitants. She gave interesting history about the culture of the inhabitants of that time and the attitudes toward women who were divorced, widowed or abandoned. The property is beautifully restored. I highly recommend this experience.

Well worth it. An unforgettable experience. - The historic estate provides a beautiful opportunity to experience Virgin Islands history and a look into the world that shaped Alexander Hamilton’s understanding of life and gave him what he needed to succeed!!! Just you Wait!!!

A wonderful, cultural experience! - Our guide was awesome! She knew a ton of the history and was a great story teller. Our kids ages 8-12 were all engaged and everyone enjoyed the experience of getting to learn more about Alexander Hamilton's mother.

Great tour - Great tour! Lasts about an hour. Beautiful estate, can tour the grounds as well. Very informative tour. Also, have a very cute boutique store in the estate.
