La Cumbre - Challapampa

Samaña Pampa - After beginning our trek, we reach the first small town that offers shelter, a store, and restrooms. This is where we will have breakfast. It is situated at an altitude of 3990 meters.

El Choro Trail - Chucura is the largest town along the route, marked by numerous ruins signaling your arrival. The charming stone houses, occasionally adorned with bushes, create a welcoming atmosphere. This community features a school, church, store, shelter, and restrooms. It is located at 3695 meters above sea level.

Challapampa - Sandillani

El Choro Trail - Once a significant community 20 years ago, it is now almost deserted, only coming to life on important dates like Easter. It offers water and a camping area. It is located at 2183 meters above sea level.

El Choro Trail - The Choro bridge is a metal suspension bridge over the Choro River. Before reaching it, there is a small plain suitable for camping. It is located at 2117 meters above sea level.

El Choro Trail - Buena Vista viewpoint. This camping spot provides a tent, a water bath, and an excellent area for setting up tents. It offers a beautiful view. It is located at 2276 meters above sea level.

El Choro Trail - The largest waterfall on the tour reveals its true magnitude when viewed up close. It’s a great spot to take a break, freshen up, or refill water supplies. It is located at 1733 meters above sea level.

El Choro Trail - The bridge over the Koscapa River leads to a resting area before the infamous “devil’s slope” (the fear is more myth than reality). About 100 meters before the bridge, there is a spot to refill water, as descending to the river is challenging due to its strong current. There is no camping area here because the jungle is dense. It is located at 1683 meters above sea level.

Sandillani - El Chairo - La Paz

La Cumbre - The highest point of the trek, offering views of the mountains with their white glaciers in the eastern range. It is also an apacheta (a religious-spiritual site). It is located at 4500 meters above sea level.
