A fun and filling evening in Ginza! - Jacob was a great tour guide, friendly and informative. We enjoyed the foods, especially the variety at the first isakaya, and the location and atmosphere was great! Dessert was also special, and we learned a lot about tea in between!

Our food tour - We really enjoyed the food tour with Michie. We gained an insight into Japanese culture and ate food that most tourists don't get to see. It was very varied and we really enjoyed it. It is more than worth the price and is made all the more enjoyable by Michie's friendly company. We can recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something really special on their trip to Tokyo.

Truly awesome - we loved it! Great insight, food and a side of Tokyo we wouldn't have seen otherwise. - We had a fantastic time! Our guide, Yappy, was excellent - really fun to be with and full of interesting information. We were eight in total and he managed to keep four teenagers rapt with attention which is no small feat. I would not hesitate to recommend the tour.

Knowledgeable guides, fun atmosphere, and great food! - Yappy and Hana were absolutely amazing! They taught us everything from the origins of traditional dishes, history of each restaurant and it’s area, Japanese food manners and phrases, and much more. They also accommodated my husband’s shellfish allergy to ensure he could indulge at every stop. We truly were showed some of Tokyo’s best hidden gems and would do this tour again any day!

Amazing Authentic Japanese Ingredients - My wife and I booked the Flavors of Japan Food Tour in Toyko in late May of 2023 and we had an excellent time with Satoko! Some things were familiar to us and some weren't but it was amazing to be able to try so many authentic Japanese ingredients all within a few blocks. Everything we ate was amazing and we left the tour feeling very full, so have a very light breakfast beforehand.

Tokyo Food tour great fun and great food - The tour was excellent and very informative. The tour guide, Josh, was extremely helpful not only on the tour but in giving us tips for navigating Tokyo. My daughter , 15, was not quite as interested, however still loved the tips for navigating the city. For adults interested in learning Japanese cuisine this is a perfect tour. The food was great too.

Definitely a must activity for a great Japanese adventure! - Wow! We have been on two tours with this company during our stay in Japan for our honeymoon and honestly everyone should experience one to get the best out of trying Japanese cuisine. We did a tour in Tokyo and Osaka - our tour guides on both occasions were incredible! Very knowledgeable and with good tips on the best places for certain foods and nightlife. All of them spoke very good English and even helped us with our Japanese! The food places we visited were places we would likely have not found ourselves amd were gems hidden down side streets and away from the bustling main streets. We were both introduced to food we might not otherwise have tried - so definitely recommend being adventurous! Would 100% recommend and will definitely book another if we return to Japan in the future.

Amazing Intro to the Tokyo Food Scene - This food tour was amazing and totally blew away my expectations. Ryan was our tour guide and he was affable, gregarious and always accommodating. We stopped at around 4-5 places and by the time I was done I was more than full from all of the tastings. Arigato Japan overall did a great job of pacing the walking with the tastings, ensuring that our experiences at each restaurant was seamless, and giving all of its participants a reason to try the other food tours. I highly recommend this but also recommend attendees not to eat beforehand or plan to eat afterwards. The tour gives you great places to revisit at a later time and it’s simply a great experience overall and worth the price.

Very Interesting - Tour included 5 stops at different eateries and plenty of food tried at each, our guide Yuko spoke good English and was able to cater for different dietary requirements. All in about a 3 hour tour with other areas of culture and history covered other than the food itself.

Oh well..... - We took the Flavors of Japan walking tour in September. While our guide was pleasant and provided a history of the area as well as information on the sites we visited which included a Shintu shrine, the tour was lacking in the variety of Japanese foods. This was my husband's first visit to Japan and his first taste of true Japanese cuisine. I was hoping that he would have a more robust culinary experience especially for the price! In general, we were pleased with what was served but there were no dumplings, egg rolls or sushi for example. While these are the basics so to speak, it was disappointing not to have them included. We have participated in a number of food tours around the world and in comparison, this one was mediocre at best.
