- Uogashi Shokudo Food Court - Have you ever tried Japanese Sake? Are you familiar with the distinct tastes and aromas of different Sakes? As a certified sake instructor, I can provide you with a unique and special experience. Why not indulge in a sake tasting while you’re in Japan?
You can enjoy this sake experience at Tsukiji, home to Japan’s largest food market! During this session, you’ll sample four different types of sake and learn to distinguish their unique flavors and aromas. Additionally, you’ll gain insights into the history of sake and its brewing process. We will also provide snacks that complement each type of sake, helping you understand the best pairings.
You are welcome to bring ingredients purchased at Tsukiji Market to pair with the sake. Please contact us in advance if you wish to do so.

In the tasting event, I will explain “how to make sake” and “the history of sake” and etc. I will answer various questions such as “Where do the differences in the taste of Japanese sake come from?” and “Are there vintages for Japanese sake?”
You can also learn tips for enjoying sake when you return to your home country, as well as points to consider when buying sake at a liquor store. This is a small group event, so feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Most Sake tastings are only tasting, but at this event you can also purchase Sake from all over Japan (extra charge)! You can also buy Sake as a souvenir from your trip to Japan with a professional Sake sommelier/tutor.
