Originally the home of an Edo-era merchant and later a feudal lord, this garden was purchased by the founder of Mitsubishi during the Meiji Period. Transferred to city ownership in 1932, it features a landscape garden with numerous stones. The pond is home to friendly koi and turtles. This beautiful traditional garden is a hidden gem.
5. Fukagawa Fudou-dō (Naritasan Tokyo branch temple)
This Buddhist temple enshrines Fudo Myoo, a Buddhist deity. The statue holds a sword to cut off worries, a rope to save those who stray, and fire to burn away problems. Buddhist monks ceremonially burn wooden plates with wishes, helping worshipers achieve peace of mind.
