Impressive! - It was super impressive. Yoshimi was our guide and she talked very enthusiastically about sumo wrestling. Her explanation gave me a better understanding of what the wrestlers were training.

Exceptional! - Incredible experience! We were in the front row, ideal for taking photos/videos of the wrestlers. 3 hour training led by the legendary Hakuho Sho (yokozuna), with all the wrestlers from the stable, a real privilege. My 11 year old daughter loved it, she was right in front, a few centimeters from the athletes, an experience that will remain engraved in her memory. Miya, our guide, was absolutely perfect, caring, adorable and efficient. Honestly, it's well worth the price, I recommend it 1000%. Cyril and Coline

Amazing! - An amazing experience! Our tour guide Yoko was so friendly! She was super organised and knowledgable about sumo wrestling. Visiting the stable where the sumo wrestlers train was a very special experience - you have a very intimate view of their training routine and are allowed to take videos and photos, providing you do so quietly and with respect to the wrestlers. Highly recommended.

Sumo training in a Tokyo stable. - It was fantastic. I'm a martial arts enthusiast and seeing a centuries-old practice like Sumo was incredible. I was very close to them, I could see all the seriousness, effort and tradition that make this sport something admirable.

Cool experience but does not include lunch or hanging out - Overall, the experience was great. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. However, the experience did not include lunch and we did not get to hang out with the sumo wrestlers as many others noted in recent reviews from Feb 2024. It just included viewing the practice and a photo with them after. It was super crowded outside when we arrived as many people went early to get a viewing spot outside the window for free and then got to take photos after as well for no cost. It did feel a bit misleading considering other reviews from Feb 2024 included images and photos of the lunch they had and getting to hang out with the wrestlers after. Still a good experience if you are interested in sumo culture and martial arts, but just be aware so you are not disappointed. It does state this in the details, but it conflicted with recent reviews. It’s also $40 extra per ticket than booking directly through the stable.
