Worthwhile and delicious tour! - Sam was a fantastic guide! He had so much knowledge about the market and Shinto and Buddhist religions that we learned a lot. He also was extremely sensitive to both our dietary restrictions, which he handled beautifully, and to the heat of the day, allowing for breaks. The food we sampled was delicious, and it was a great first-day-in-Japan experience.

Fabulous for Foodies - A wonderful mini-excursion through Tsukiji and the stores surrounding the famed Japanese fish market. Our guide Yoshiko was friendly, patient and accommodating, and guided us through the many food outlets at the outer markets. We sampled wagyu beef skewers, umi (sea urchin), tamagoyaki, and oysters, and rounded off our trip with a delicious sushi lunch with sake. The stopovers at Hongwanji Temple and Namiyoke Shrine were bonus experiences too. A fantastic experience I would recommend for anyone with half a day and who wants to enjoy a delicious lunch while touring Tokyo.

See Tsukiji fish market w/ kind And knowledgeable Japanese tour guides! - I had a great time with Mieko and Akkiko on this tour of Tsukiji fish market! They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the fish market. I saw the temple near by and they even waited for me an extra 10 mins after the initial meet up point! I got lost on the way there taking the trains. They taught me a lot of Japanese and showed me all the popular foods that are sold and how they look like and prepare it all. I highly recommend this tour if you want to know more about Japanese culture and have a good English guide while you're at it. The tour took about 3 hrs and we went all over tsukiji market and sampled many stalls. My favorite part was definitely trying the different cuts of tuna and the a5 wagu beef! I saw what Wasabi looks like raw, tried eggs on a stick that has sugar on it, tried different teas, fish broth soups, sweets, different types of nuts. It was a grand time and had a nice time socializing with the other Americans that joined me on the tour. Last but not least, you visit the Buddhist and shindu temples and learn the proper way of entering and purifying yourself.
