Professional baseball has its roots in Cincinnati, and this exceptional tour takes visitors to every site where the Reds played during the 19th and 20th centuries, highlighting the links between local brewing and baseball.
Starting at the Moerlein Lager House, adjacent to Great American Ballpark and the former Riverfront Stadium site, the tour proceeds by bus to Union Grounds, where the undefeated 1869 Red Stockings played! The journey includes Avenue Grounds, Bank Street Grounds, League Park, and Palace of the Fans. Crosley Field is a definite stop, along with the original Crosley Radio Factory, where Powell Crosley established his broadcasting empire before acquiring the Reds. The tour also explores the Brewery District to view some brewing structures connected to Reds history.
Tickets come with a souvenir map and a pint of beer at the Moerlein Lager House. Tours are available most Saturdays when the Reds have a home game.
