• 1136 St Gregory St - The journey begins at 1136 St. Gregory Street, adjacent to the Roots of Vision Mural. Participants will learn about the mural’s story, the myths and legends of Mt. Adams, and receive a guided exploration of Mt. Adams’ rich history.
• The Monastery Event Center - The tour makes a stop at the current Monastery Event Center, where the origin of Mt. Adams’ name and the history of the former Monastery will be shared.
• Holy Cross - Immaculata Parish - The next stop is outside this church, offering one of the finest views in town. Participants will hear about the founders and the Irish and German immigrants who settled here.
• Mount Adams - The tour continues through the streets of Mt. Adams, uncovering its history, stories, and legends. Participants will learn about historical figures, hidden treasures, and enjoy breathtaking views.
• Overlook at Celestial and Hill - This spot provides a stunning city view and is perfect for photos. Here, stories of the vineyards that once thrived and the individual who brought an artistic flair to Mt. Adams will be shared.
• The View at Mt. Adams - Another spectacular viewpoint! Participants will see the city from a different perspective and learn about the remnants of the old train that once operated here.
• Ida Street Bridge - Offering excellent views of OTR and the city, this stop includes insights into the bridge and the area’s history, showcasing one of many remarkable vistas.
• Pilgrim Chapel United Church of Christ - At this stop, participants will discover the history of the Pilgrim Chapel United Church of Christ, its construction, and the story of the immigrants and the Underground Railroad.
• Mt. Adams Bar & Grill - The tour concludes at this historic bar, once owned by a notorious bootlegger. Participants will hear tales of the bootlegger, prohibition, murder, the FBI, and the bar’s intriguing history.
