Educational and great fun! - We had an awesome time! Olga met us (two couples) at the shuttle bus off the cruise and toured us through the town and market as she purchased groceries for our lunch. She answered all our questions as we walked. We arrived at Cicchitti restaurant where Chef Matteo greeted us and we began cooking. Both he and Olga spoke great English and he walked us through making tiramisu, a tomato sauce, veal saltimbocca and gnocchi. He demonstrated and then let us go for it - so much fun. Matteo was experienced and generous with his time and had a wonderful sense of humor - we had so much fun! I highly recommend!

Must do, best experience! Cant rate it enough! - We were on a cruise and had been to rome a few times previously so decided to do a cooking class. It was the best experience we had on the entire trip. Matteo is a superb chef. Really patient and let us get involved and we learnt so much. We were 2 adults and 1 child (13) and our son got so much out of the experience. His confidence grew, even though he managed to crack an egg over the floor, Matteo encouraged a better way to do it, and was so kind. We had veal steaks, made tiramisu and Gnocci and a tomato sauce. BEST FOOD!! We have practiced at home and we cannot encourage you enough to book this experience. Everything was perfect! Thank you Matteo! Holly, Mark and Jensen

Great experience! - What a fun and educational experience! Our guide Olga met us at our hotel and we walked to a large market to buy ingredients and to soak in this vibrant local experience. Olga pointed out interesting details about the city on our way and we even made a brief stop at a beautiful church. Arriving at the restaurant (Otto Zero) where our cooking took place, we met Matteo, chef and owner, who walked us through creating three dishes. The preparation was hands-on and we learned so much and also had a fun time. We then got to eat our delicious creations, accompanied with wine. A top-notch experience, highly recommend!

We cooked and ate great food - Guide meet us at the shuttle stop, after which we walked to the market to purchase ingredients. From there to Otto Zero where the chef owner provided the cooking class. This included gnocchi, saltimbocca, and tiramisu. After making the food, we enjoyed eating it. The chef provided excellent instruction and the food was delicious. Our guide, Olga, provided information about the city and its history during the walk.

Local taste of Italian Cooking for our Cruise Tour! - After securing our food to prepare at the local market, we learned new techniques for making pasta, skinny saltimbocca, and tiramisu!! Olga was a kind, patient and informative guide and Matteo a consummate professional chef with excellent teaching skills! All in a clean and well appointed restaurant. We had a fabulous day!!

Excellent Cooking Class and Market Tour in Civitavecchia - We highly recommend this enjoyable tour. There were four of us in our group. Olga, our tour guide, took us to the market where she purchased the ingredients needed to prepare our Italian feast. Then we went to Mateo's restaurant where he explained everything and let us prepare everything. Finally, we sat down to enjoy the fabulous meal, complete with wine. A wonderful experience in Civitavecchia!

Awesome Local Cooking Experience! - We met our guide, Olga, and she bought the things we needed at the market - vegetables, herbs and veal. We went to a local restaurant and were taught by owner/chef Patricia how to make olive oil rolls, focaccia bread, potato gnocchi and veal with fried eggplant and sundried tomatoes. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking with Patricia in her own kitchen! What an amazing local experience tat we highly recommend!

Organize your own shore excursion - Tired of large group shore excursions with your shipmates? Been to Rome before?? Try this cooking class as an alternative. We made veal saltimbocca, gnocchi, and tiramisu from scratch! We have done this in Puerto Rico, Barcelona, etc. Olga and Matteo are the best!!!!

Enjoyable but underwhelmed - Olga and Patricia were friendly hosts however the experience was very basic and underwhelming . It was rushed as kitchen was required for lunch , our participation involved observing bread making , cutting tomatoes and prepping some gnocchi . Not value for money
