5 stars! - There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our tour was. Our driver, Carlo, was on time and eager to make our day perfect. He completely customized our trip around our interests and must see areas, made reservations for an authentic and intimate lunch, and was extremely informative. We agreed it was the highlight of our trip! You won’t be disappointed.

Exciting and fun. Worth every minute. - Ivano was an entertaining and very knowledgeable guide. I’ve been to Italy three times and would not visit Rome without him. My friends and family loved him. Said it was the best ever tour.

Outstanding Experience - Our guide/driver Claudio was outstanding. He grew up in the shadows of the Vatican and was such a wealth of knowledge. This is well worth the price and you will have a VIP experience!

Highly Recommend - What an amazing day!!! We were on a cruise and we only had a day in Rome. Nick picked us up right on the docks and took us straight to Rome. He took us to off beaten views, as well as, all the hot attractions. He knew all the back ways and got us to see more than we expected. He took us to an amazing place for lunch where they rolled out the red carpet. Nick was fun, knowledgeable and speaks English very well. This was very worth it!!! Thanks...

Family day in Rome - Our guide in Rome, Claudio, was absolutely fantastic! He captivated myself, my husband and 4 children (ages 4-11) with his knowledge and passion for Rome as he lead us to everything we wanted to see in Rome (and more) including a guided tour through the Vatican museums and Saint Peter’s Basilica. He taught us a lot and kept all of us engaged. We could not have asked for more! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!

Best Day in Rome - THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! From the day I booked our tour, Roberta was quick to communicate and assist. Ivano is our favorite tour guide EVER!! He was prompt, waiting for us at our ship when we arrived. Very genuine, funny and knowledgeable! With him we were able to experience authentic Rome. We saw all the main attractions, but the hidden gems he brought us to were our favorite. We can’t wait to come back and have lunch with Allegra…but the restaurant Ivano brought us to was amazing! Food was the best and atmosphere was true Italian hospitality. You can NOT visit Rome without Ivano - he made our experience magical!!

Fabulous way to see the most in the shortest amount of time. - My family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We were picked up at the Port in two very comfortable vans and transported to Rome to the luxury golf carts. Although we had a very limited time in Rome, 4 hrs, we sailed through the side streets in the golf carts and managed to see the main sights of Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and the Vatican. We had an incredible lunch at a restaurant recommended by Ivano. Ivano and his colleague were so knowledgeable and took great care of us. We loved our time with DGS and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a special shore excursion with a limited time.

21 years later, the service is even better! - In 2001 my husband and I were on a 10 year anniversary trip in Rome and our hotel referred us to a private car service with a charming young man named Ivano. He made our day so special and took us to see unusual sights off the beaten path as well as all of the usuals. 21 years later we returned and since I had kept his business card all those years, we searched for him only to find he had expanded his little enterprise into a quite a large and successful business. We again asked for a unique experience and although (sadly) Ivano was gone leading a trip in Venice, his associate Claudio still made it a carefree, unique and fun experience. He took us to all the places I requested plus plenty of others that not everyone gets to see. He was so knowledgeable and thoughtful and having door to door service from our cruise ship made it so easy! Also, communicating with Roberta (Ivano’s wife) to make all the arrangements was so easy. We would definitely recommend you use Driver Guide Service!

Great way to spend a day in Rome - We used Driver Guide Service at the end of our cruise to Rome. Ivano picked up the 4 of us right on time at the Civitavecchia terminal and we were off on a wonderful all day tour of the major sites in Rome. He dropped us off for lunch at a great restaurant before we continued to the Vatican where another fantastic tour was arranged. If you want to spend a really fun day in Rome, with a knowledgeable and engaging guide who clearly loves his job and his city and really knows his way around, then this is your tour company. Highly recommended and we would use them again without hesitation.
