Beautiful day outside of Rome! - What a wonderful excursion when looking to do something fun outside of Rome! Our tour guide Andrea was so knowledgable about the history of the beautiful countryside we drove through from our cruise ship in port! The Dying City was nothing short of magical. The walk to the city up the bridge was relatively short with wonderful views of the valley. Charming buildings, churches, to walk around and see- little umbrelled cafes are dotted throughout the village with cascading flowers and cute shops. Incredible visit to a town built in the 1300’s! On to the beautiful town of Orivietto , also perched hilltop with stunning views! Typical Italian charming cobblestone streets, churches, lots of shopping and had an incredible lunch with Andrea there as he continued his story telling of the towns history. Had extra time and he took us to his beautiful hometown on the beach! Andrea was a pleasure to have gotten as our tour guide and we highly recommend requesting him! Thank you for a sensational day in the Italian countryside!

Great Day Trip - We enjoyed a beautiful day at Civita di Bagnoregio. It was sunny, high 50's and very clear. Our tour guide was friendly and picked us up right on schedule. We drove the 45 minutes from civitavecchia to the site and had two hours to walk around. Our guide then drove us to the charming town of tarquinia for a delicious lunch at cecche e Pepe and then walked is around. He also drove us to the Etruscan tombs for a quick visit before dropping us to the train station to get back to Rome. The only suggestion I would have for improvement is to make it more convenient to go from Rome. For some reason the tour guide thought we were cruise tourists so the meeting point was near the port but it was slightly inconvenient from the train station. Otherwise we had a nice time and appreciated the hospitality.

Unique Intimate Tour of Italian Countryside - We are so glad we took a gamble on this tour! Our guide Andrea's knowledge and passion for Italy was contagious. Because of the small tour van (no big tour bus!), we were able to customize our tour and see destinations not on the usual tourist itineraries. Bagnoregio, Lake Bolsena and Tarquinia are not to be missed when touring Italy! Thank you Andrea for a fascinating glimpse into your country.

The dying city... maybe!! - We thought we would find a village where the important thing was to keep the construction as intact as possible over time, but instead we found ourselves in a vortex of people, B&Bs, restaurants, bars, a perfumery, souvenir shops, leather goods and food shops, we felt like we were in a shopping centre. the important thing is to do business. They gave it 50 years of life and then it was destined to disappear... but I have my doubts... it makes it too much.
