  • Salina Turda - We will travel a distance of 31 km to Turda Salt Mine. We will have a guided tour in English and afterwards we will have free time to take advantage of the facilities of this theme park. List of activities: Ferris Wheel, Mini golf, Bowling, Boating on the underground lake, Pool table and Table tennis .

Around 12:30 o’clock we will head to the second attraction.

  • Cheile Turzii - Turda Gorge After visiting the salt mine, we will take 30 minutes car drive to Turda Gorge. The canyon is nearly 3 km long, with 300 m high walls sculpted in weathered limestone. It depends on your physical condition here we will do a hike of 5 Km or 9 km in a circle tour. We will find a wild karst panorama, with high cliffs and steep with sharp ridges, rock towers, long paths for walking, climbing routes, hiking trails and dozens of caves. The Gorge is a complex geological, biological and archaeological preserve. Many of the caves were inhabited by prehistoric men since the Neolithic. This small and wild canyon has a unique fauna and flora.
Bring the camera because you will be impressed with the work that a river did inside a mountain in hundreds of millions of years.

  • Rimetea - After the hiking trail, we will head to Rimetea village. Known for its traditional white houses with green windows, Rimetea is one of the best-conserved and most beautiful rural attractions in Romania. It’s also the first village in the country that was granted the Europa Nostra award for the successful preservation of its architectural patrimony. Rimetea was for hundreds of years an important mining and blacksmiths’ center, witnessing both prosperous times as a commercial city and decay as a simple medieval village. Besides having this unique and charming architecture, the village is also located in a wonderful geographical area. It is surrounded from side to side by 500-600 meter calcareous massifs and traversed from north to south by the River Rimetea.
Here we will take a tour of the village after which we will serve a warm Romanian Traditional meal.

Unforgettable day trip... - Unforgettable day trip with Tudor. The attractions were perfectly arranged, compact but not rushed. He has a really good understanding of culture and history behind all the spots, hot and talkative,as well as a good hike leader. It was great to learn about Cluj with him.

A great day trip - This was an excellent trip taking in the Turda Salt Mine, the Turda Gorge and the Rimetea Village and Rimetea Monastry - perfect for anyone wanting to see a lot of things in the area around Cluj in a relatively short period of time. This was a small group (4 people) and Tudor was an excellent guide, who explained everything we saw and takes great pride in his city and country. The salt mine was an unique experience and the 90 minute hike in the gorge was breathtaking, but probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Would heartily recommend

Five Stars for curly Tour! - We had the pleasure of joining a tour through the area of Cluj Napoca and were warmly greeted by our guide at the meeting point with chocolate! His enthusiastic demeanor and commitment made the journey an unforgettable experience. On the way to our first stop, the impressive Salina Turda salt mine, he shared interesting facts about the region and patiently answered all our questions. His knowledge and passion for the area were infectious and made the tour an absolute highlight of our trip. After exploring the salt mine, we embarked on a 1.5-hour hiking tour through a canyon, where our guide Tudor continued to enlighten us about the local flora and fauna, ensuring that the experience remained engaging throughout. During lunch at a local restaurant, we savored traditional dishes and had the opportunity to purchase cheese and local specialties at a nearby cheese factory. Tudor even filled the waiting time for our food with explanations about the country’s history, enriching our lunch experience further. Afterwards, Tudor took us to a typical Romanian village, Rimetea, where we could draw water from a well ourselves. To conclude the tour, we visited a monastery adorned with impressive wall paintings. Tudor then safely drove us back to the tour meeting point in Cluj, allowing us to relax and even take a power nap on the way, as he maintained a careful and steady pace throughout the journey. Thank you for this amazing tour!

A lovely experience - Surprisingly my wife and I were the only ones for the tour and so had a very private one. Our guide Tudor was top notch. A very safe driver, extremely knowledgeable and a sweet person to be with. Took us for the hike in the gorge and very ably guided us through our journey. Thank you Tudor for everything and wish you all the very best.

Excellent salt mine tour - I booked this tour in order to see the turda salt mines. It was definitely worthwhile. I didn’t know what to expect, but the salt mine was a lot bigger than I expected and there was a lot to see. After the salt mines, there were a few other places that I was taken to. The monastery that I was taken to as part of the tour was worthwhile. The inside of the church was beautifully painted and interesting in see. I got to try some local Romanian food. There was also a short hike, which didn’t take too long. It is worth doing the walk for the view at the top. The guide provided water and a walking stick. I saw there were several walking sticks in the car, so a larger group could be catered for. On my way back to Cluj-Napoca, I was chatting with the guide, and I was told of several different places that I could visit in the city. This was important, since I had another day in Cluj-Napoca, and I could have missed out on something just by not knowing about it.

This tour has it all! - Wow! What a unique experience. I loved the variety of this tour - from a visit to a salt mine to a hike through a gorge to the small village of Rimetia to a monastery, this tour had it all! It is hard to say what part I loved most because each part was so different yet all were equally as enjoyable. And best of all, we had a tour guide who was so knowledgeable, energetic and fun to be around. He had extensive knowledge of Salina Turda and led us through at just the perfect pace. We had “free” time at the base of the mine and had enough time to rent a little row boat and paddle around the lake! The hike over the mountain and through the gorge was great fun. Tudor went at our pace and obviously loves being outdoors. When we finished the hike we toured a beautiful monastery and also the village of Rimetea which is a Unesco World Heritage site. Thanks Tudor!
