• Sibiel - After a two-hour drive, just before reaching Sibiu, there will be a stop in the charming countryside of Marginimea Sibiului. The guide will share insights about the unique cultural blend of the area. Comprising fewer than 20 small settlements, this micro-region has developed a distinctive architectural, religious, and ethnographic heritage over the centuries. There will be an opportunity for a discovery walk and a chance to visit an extraordinary peasant museum featuring naïve icons painted on glass.
• Cristian - As you get closer to Sibiu, while still in Marginimea Sibiului, there will be a stop in another village to admire one of the approximately 200 fortified medieval churches in Transylvania. Built by Saxon communities, each church varies in size, structure, and appearance. There will be an opportunity to learn about the reasons behind these differences.
  NB: From November to April, due to winter visiting restrictions, the visit to Cristian’s fortified church will be replaced with a visit to Alba Iulia Citadel.
• Medieval city of Sibiu - Explore the four fortifications of the old town. Discover the various legends associated with the Liar’s Bridge. Stroll through the three main Medieval squares and pick your favorite. Climb the Evangelical Church tower for the best view of the city and the legendary Carpathian Mountains.

Find out about the the Governor of Transylvania, Samuel von Brukenthal and his connection to the city. Admire the mysterious Carpathian mountains from one of the tallest towers in Transylvania.
