Best off road adventures in the middle of the Atlantic! - We had the most amazing time with Vitor, he was extremely knowledgeable about the island, its history, and its natural resources. He would pause often along the way to explain about different plant species and how they are used on the island. Additionally, every stop was accompanied by detailed information about the area, its historical relevance, and other local knowledge. The stop for refreshments was much appreciated and delicious, the bar staff whipped up the best Poncha on the island and were so welcoming and accommodating! After the tour, Vitor dropped us off in the old town and gave us expert recommendations for other places we should visit, with guidance on what to eat and drink for a truly local experience. We are very much looking forward to our next trip to Funchal Madeira in October so we can book our next trip with Vitor!

Beautiful views! Great photos! - Had so much fun exploring through Forrest, vineyards, seafront areas, and beautiful Mountain Views! Definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Madeira!! We feel like we saw a lot on this tour!

Amazing off road tour with an excellent, passionate guide! - Initially we were booked onto the 4 hour central tour, but were a little worried as there was wildfires in the region. Vitor, our guide, was happy to adapt our tour so we could explore the East of the Island. And what an amazing experience it was! Exploring off road, experiencing the amazing scenery as we drove higher, above the clouds to Pico do Arieiro before driving down, stopping for coffee at restaurante snack bar Faisca. Vitor drove us off road, down narrow short cuts through villages, explaining about native and non-native flora and fauna as well sharing the everyday lives and traditions of the locals. We stopped at Miradoura do Guindaste viewing platform to take in the beautiful views before heading back. We couldn’t have had a better experience with Vitor from beginning to end. He picked us up at the hotel, and was instantly friendly, accommodating and clearly very knowledge and passionate about the island he is from. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough - thank you!

A 4x4 tour not to be missed, fantastic day. - What a fantastic day we have had with Ricardo off road. Our driver / guide Vitor was just brilliant. We decided on the half day central tour and we were not disappointed. Everything was just perfect , this is a must for anyone wanting to see Madeira and its gems. Off road was great, we even got stuck in the woods, but Vitor's driving skill was there to save the day. Vitor's knowledge of the island helped make our day better and with a Maderia plant tour thrown in. Just awesome. With many 4x4 tours on the island I think we chose the best one. Vitor - thank you.

Great experience! - Great roadtrip! We spent 4 hours with a great local Guide and very funny Andre who took us back to all the highlights of the center of the mountains. The views were beautiful and the jeep experience great. I recommend doing this trip by jeep more than with another transport because of the roads. Super thank you Andre:)

Ride of your life on Madeira! Fun for all ages! - I recently visited Madeira with 18 friends and Vitor, Ricardo and cousin Antony graciously took us to experience their fabulous island by jeep! It was not only great fun but the 2 brothers and their cousin were great hosts and they certainly know Madeira! If you are spending time in Portugal I would definitely recommend you visit Madeira and take a day tour with the Marote brothers you will not regret it!

Outstanding off-road experience - Hired Vitor and Ricardo to take us and our group of friends on a half day off road tour, visiting Camara de Lobos, Cabo Gireo, the Nun’s Valley and lots more. Our friends had not visited Madeira before and they loved the brothers fun and informative chat and the thrills of the off road drive through the forest. Vitor bought everyone Bolo de Caco and we stopped at a village poncha bar to sample the different flavours!! A fantastic afternoon that our friends are still talking about. Best tour guide ever!!!! - This was the best tour our family has ever taken. Our guide Vitor treated us like family and showed us places, sights, and experiences we never would have found on our own. We have already recommended him to others and are eager to return. We saw it all - scenery, views, history of the island, plants and animals, landscapes, and incredible food.
