Fabulous Day Out - Amazing full day experience which covered a fabulous Vineyard in the mountains, superb lunch and finished off with a trip to a Madeiran Distilled Wine Distillery. Our host Suzanna was absolutely brilliant, covering many stories about the Islands history and culture. The trip also incorporated Faja dos Padres Cable Car (not for the faint hearted) which took us to another vineyard, which also includes a Banana tree plantation. Cannot recommend this excursion highly enough enough and don’t forget to ask for Suzanna!

Great trip - We had a small group - just 4 of us. Guide Susanna was very friendly and enthusiastic. Trip was very good - particularly the lunch and wine tasting at the beautiful vineyard. Cable car trip at Faja dos Padres was fun, although only limited link to the wine theme. Good balance between information and tasting!

In vino veritas, a great way to spend a day! - An enjoyable experience for those who enjoy tasting and drinking wine and learning about its production. We traveled in comfort to a variety of places where we had time to appreciate different aspects of the island. Our driver, Manuel was very friendly and informative, pointing out various things to us as we travelled, and always allowing us plenty of time so we never felt hassled or rushed.
The vineyard visit was well organised and set in a beautiful location which we would certainly not have found ourselves. Luciano, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his knowledge about all aspects of the vineyard and the wines. We tasted 6 wines with generous measures and could enjoy more of all of them as we wished with our meal. Staff were all friendly and attentive, a super visit.
On our way back we rounded off with a visit to Henriques & Henriques for a tasting of Madeiran fortified wines, a perfect finale to the day.

Our guide and driver for... - Our guide and driver for the day was Susana and she was fantastic - very friendly, chatty and informative (and excellent English). She took us to lots of interesting places in the morning and told us all about wine making in Madeira. She then took us to Barbusano vineyard for wine tasting and lunch - we got to sample 6 wines and then have as much as we wanted with the food (which was delicious). Susana then took us to Henriques & Henriques for Madeira tasting (5 glasses) before dropping us back for a well-needed snooze! I would definitely recommend this trip.

Wine tour and tasting - This was a small group tour but actually there were just me and my husband with our guide, Suzanna. What a brilliant day. Suzanna shared a wealth of island history and knowledge of the areas. We visited less touristy places including Faja dos Padres and a breathtaking cable car ride to the beach area here. It is a short walk through a banana plantation to a cafe/bar to enjoy a drink by the sea. We also had the chance to visit Seixal before arriving at the vineyard. The tour was informative and interesting and we sampled three white, one rose and two red wines, selecting our favourite to enjoy with our lunch. The tastings were paired with cheese, cured meats and crostados. Lunch was beef espanadas cooked to our preference served with potatoes, salad and garlic bread. Hearty portions to say the least. This was finished with a homemade passionfruit dessert, served with Madeira wine and finally espresso. It was a leisurely lunch, not at all rushed. Then our final stop was to sample Madeira wine (4 from dry to sweet). A full day providing excellent value for money with an experienced guide who was happy to share her knowledge with us. Thank you, Suzanna!

Great tour with exceptional guide, nice wines and tasty food - The tour we had was really exceptional. Our guide did a great Job in explaining a lot about the local history of wine, fruit and rum production and trade. The visit of different view points and the vinery was very interesting and beautiful. The wine tastings at the vinery abd Madeira wine production where very tasty and fun.
We had booked the half day tour first where there where some inconveniences due to timing. But we got compensated with a discounted full day Tour which was really fair and uncomplicated in organizing. The service was really quick to respond to our complaint and did a great job in organizing the alternative tour for us which more than made up for the problems with our first booking.
We totally recommend booking the vineyard tour here.

Truly amazing day tour - A truly amazing tour of Madeira, with a gondola, viewpoints and vineyards, made extra fun by the guide Susanna! Susanna is knowledgeable, outgoing, a good storyteller and very friendly. The guide on the vineyard is excellent and we learned quite a bit about Madeiran wines. The lunch was also authentic and traditional. Highly recommended, 5 stars for Susanna ⭐️

Susanna was my tour guide for the day. So friendly and knowledgeable. It ended up being a private tour as 6 people canceled the morning of. I was so lucky!!
What a magical well thought out tour. Adventure and site seeing in the morning. Then wineries, lunch and tastings in the afternoon. I can not recommend this tour enough.
I had so many wow moments in the morning. The nature and scenery was something I have not experienced before. Just beautiful!
The winery was stunning. The tastings were a great size, 5 tastings before lunch. The lunch was very tasty and there was plenty of food. You get to drink more wine with lunch and they even offer you more food if you’re still hungry.
Yes this tour is expensive but you get to see so much in the morning and then try so much wine and good food in the afternoon.
I highly recommend this tour.

A day not to be missed! - We had a great day with Manuel. From the minute we were collected from our hotel to the minute we were dropped off, we were really well looked after. We loved the cable car and the hidden gem of a lovely beach, great wine tasting, fabulous food and wonderful weather, what more could you want!!
