Table Mountain - Our guide takes us to the base of Table Mountain, where we board the cable car to ascend South Africa’s most iconic landmark. Standing at 1083 meters above sea level, it provides panoramic views of the entire city and beyond. We spend some time at the summit, observing the diverse fauna, flora, and birdlife. The cable car features a rotating floor, offering a 360-degree view of the mountain and its surroundings.
Cape Town - The Peninsular (Penguins and hiking)
Clifton Beaches - Clifton Beach is a renowned attraction in Cape Town, popular among tourists and locals for its stunning scenery and clear blue waters. It is famous for its four distinct coves, each with its own unique vibe.
Camps Bay - Camps Bay is another major attraction in Cape Town, celebrated for its beautiful scenery and clear blue waters. It draws tourists and locals alike with its white sandy beach and numerous restaurants and cafes. Many celebrities, including Charlize Theron, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Oprah Winfrey, own properties here.
Hout Bay - Hout Bay derives its name from the Dutch word “Houtbaai,” meaning “Wood Bay,” due to the dense forests that once covered the area. We have the option to stop here and take a boat ride to Duiker Island, home to around 5000 Cape Fur seals.
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - We pass through the historic naval town of Simonstown, home to the South African Navy, and head to the famous Boulders Beach, which hosts around 3000 African Penguins. The beach is named after the granite boulders that provide shelter.
Cape of Good Hope - Originally named the Cape of Storms by Portuguese explorer Bartholomew Dias in 1488, it was later renamed to reflect the optimism brought by the opening of the sea route to India and the East. In 2004, it was designated one of the six plant kingdoms in the world, boasting around 250 bird species, various mammals, reptiles, insects, and over 1100 different plant species. After lunch, we embark on a moderate hike to the most south-westerly point of the African continent.
Cape Town - Trailblazer (Culture & History)
Robben Island Museum - Robben Island, located off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa, served as a prison for nearly 400 years. It was also used as a World War II military base, a 19th-century hospital, and a leper colony. It is most famous for the unjust imprisonment of freedom fighters like Steve Biko and Nelson Mandela during the apartheid era. Today, we have the option to visit the island by boat, see Mandela’s cell, and explore the museum dedicated to his life.
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden - We have the option to explore Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, recognized as one of the world’s great botanic gardens. It is home to a wide variety of plants and animals and features numerous walking trails. The garden also hosts various events throughout the year.
Stellenbosch - The Connoisseur (Cheese & Wine Tastings)
Stellenbosch Vineyards - We visit some of the finest vineyards in Stellenbosch to sample their cheese and wine. The Cape Winelands are home to over 200 wine farms, many featuring historic Cape Dutch manors and beautiful gardens. These vineyards have been producing world-class wines since the mid-1600s.
Hermanus - Sea the World (Whale Watching in Season)
Hermanus - Hermanus is a premier destination for whale watching, offering some of the best land-based views of whales in the world. From July to November, you can witness hundreds of Southern Right Whales, as well as Bryde’s and Humpback whales, in the nearby waters. The whales are very active, showcasing behaviors like breaching, tail-slapping, and spy-hopping. Whale watching by boat is included during the season.
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - Wild at Heart (Game Drive)
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - Experience the wonders of Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. We embark on a safari that will leave you in awe, encountering a variety of animals in their natural habitat, savoring local cuisine and culture, and relaxing in the beauty of this natural paradise. The afternoon game drive takes us to different parts of the reserve, where we can see four of the Big 5, as well as cheetahs, black impalas, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and more. We have the chance to get close to the animals and capture amazing photos.
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - Lux Wilder (Game Drive, Picnic & Spa Treatment)
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - Our day begins with a morning game drive lasting about 3 hours, guided by our ranger to spot more wildlife. After the game drive, we enjoy a picnic in a secluded spot near the river, savoring a basket of delicious foods and wine while admiring the river and mountain views and listening to the sounds of nature. In the late afternoon, we indulge in a spa treatment at the Fijnebos Spa, a custom-built facility offering a range of revitalizing African-themed treatments and signature oils.
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - Beat About the Bush (Bush Walk & Game Drive)
Botlierskop Private Game Reserve - A guided bush trail offers an adventure to explore the wildlife and plants of the Garden Route on foot. We join our ranger for a 2 ½ hour walk through different habitats, spotting various wildlife and learning about insects, ecology, birds, and plants. Afterward, we relax by the pool or in the bar before heading out for our final game drive in the late afternoon.
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge - Cave Dweller (Horseback Safari, Caves, Game Drive)
The Cango Caves - We visit the Cango Caves, one of the natural wonders of the world, and marvel at the spectacular formations of stalactites and stalagmites. The Cango Caves Heritage Tour is a must-do activity for nature, adventure, and culture enthusiasts, offering an unforgettable experience of the underground world.
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge - We board an open safari vehicle, guided by a professional ranger who shares fascinating facts and stories about the animals and plants we encounter. Outeniqua Pass - The Outeniqua Pass is a scenic and historic road linking the coastal town of George with Oudtshoorn and the Little Karoo in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Constructed between 1943 and 1951, it offers stunning views of the Outeniqua Mountains, the Garden Route, and the Little Karoo. The pass traverses various habitats, including coastal renosterveld and Cape fynbos, where you can see diverse plants and animals. It is a popular destination for tourists, cyclists, and hikers who appreciate the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area.

Tsitsikamma National Park - Tsitsikamma, meaning “place of abundant water” in the Khoisan language, is aptly named for its lush forests, rivers, waterfalls, and coastline. Part of the Garden Route National Park, it protects the area’s biodiversity and ecosystems. Tsitsikamma offers various activities, such as hiking, kayaking, ziplining, bungee jumping, and whale watching. Popular attractions include the Storms River Mouth, where we cross the famous suspension bridge and enjoy ocean and gorge views. Bloukrans Bridge - The Bloukrans Bridge is a spectacular and renowned bridge spanning the Bloukrans River in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Part of the N2 highway along the Garden Route, it is 451 meters long and 216 meters high, making it the highest single-span concrete arch bridge in the world. The bridge is also a popular spot for thrill-seekers, offering the world’s highest commercial bungee jump operated by Face Adrenalin since 1997. The 216-meter jump provides an exhilarating experience and stunning views of the river, gorge, and ocean.

Tsitsikamma National Park - The kayak and lilo excursion combines kayaking and lilo adventures through the Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park. We then switch to a lilo to explore deeper parts of the river, observing ancient rock formations, waterfalls, and caves.
