Long day but awesome day out, highly recommend both places. - We booked the coba & xel ha combo day tour. Was an awesome and amazing day. Seen and did lots. Was a long day, from pick up to drop off was between 12-13 hours. Great to have everything included at both places with no extra money needed for rentals or food/drink, lockers, towels, etc. Our tour guide at pick up and during the ruins was fun, friendly and very informative. We had a good tour, could have stayed about an hour longer to get more time to see more of the ruins and the site, and look around on your own time, but understand the need to be quick as you need to have time at xel ha. You can no longer climb the main ruin site either. Xel ha is simply breath taking. The views are awesome, the activities endless, can easily spend all day here and make it a full day tour on it's own. The park is clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful, food was amazing at the Mexican buffet, drinks were good. Time went by fast, highly recommend both places either separately or as a package deal, great for all ages, you can pick and chose your own activities at xel ha that interest your group, many many included activities and amenities and some activities that are an extra charge if interested. We didn't purchase any of the extra activities and we were extremely happy with our time there and found lots of activities to do. Great day, great tour, great staff and tourist attractions. Would definitely go back and do it again.

Do it. - You can't climb the ruins anymore, but coba is less crowded and xel-ha was so cool to walk around and float the river.

Excellent - The whole experience was amazing. Eduardo was the best tour guide seeing the ruins. Very knowledgeable and great personality. Could not say enough great things about him. Xel-Ha hidden wonder was great fun. There is something there for people of all ages and swimming capabilities. Highly recommend as an excursion. From swimming with dolphins, to scuba, the lazy river, to cliff jumping... There is something for everyone. Everything inside the park was all inclusive... Food, drinks, alcohol.... Great times and definitely see myself coming back.

A fun family experience. - Had a great time here during our visit to Mexico in January. Went with my wife, and 12 and 14 year old children. For those interested in going, please be aware that it is over 2 hours from Cancun, but well worth the trip. The park is huge, and well maintained. Food and drinks are included in admission. We ate at what I guess you could call the traditional Mexican buffet for breakfast, and we all agreed it was one of the best buffets we've ever had. We had the "fast food" buffet for lunch, which was pretty basic and not that great. Service at both buffets was terrific. Hiking, cliff jumping, zip lining and snorkeling were all amazing. There are photo stations around the park where you can just scan your wristband to get your picture taken. The only downside was with the free drinks, there were some people who were overserved. I would recommend this experience.

Great experience, bring the right gear! - We toured the Coba ruins and visited Tulum. The tour is pretty phys demanding (but great!) so be sure to bring the right shoes and clothes for the heat. Afterwards we went to the Xel-Há park. The tour took up most of the day and we didn’t get to spend much time at the park. If you can, split the tour and park visit between x2 days so you can enjoy every thing Xel-Há has to offer. A special shout out to Rogelio Mejica! In the blink of an eye my phone (in seewag watr proof jacket) fell to the bottom of the lagoon. Rogelio swam to where we were, asked a few questions and quickly scanned the water to then dive prob 14ft+ to save my phone. We can’t thank him enough as the trip would have def. been sour. Saved the day!

Misinformed of Coba site opened when booked tour. - I enjoyed the Tulum portion of the tour and our guide Jaime was great, informative and helpful from pick up to conclusion of the tour. I was disappointed with Grupo Xcaret for allowing people to sign up for the Coba & Tulum tour (Coba had been closed for many weeks prior) expecting that they had an exclusive agreement to guide tours there, only to be informed the night before and at pick up that the Coba site was closed and the rest of the tour would be at Xel-ha park. While Xel-ha park was ok, over eat & drink with snorkeling- though being 57 y.o. I don't have much interest in tower slides and kids play. I don't have many opportunity to make the trek to this region and was trying to see as much of Maya ruins as possible. Double check everything and don't rely on the tour group to inform you of cultural sites availability.
