Kieran are to welcome you outside the Cobh Heritage Centre, where your exploration shall begin at the initial site, the ‘Aud’, the anchor site of a sunk German arms ship right by the mouth of Cork Harbour in 1916.
Kieran is to revivify the past as if you were engaged in the ambushes firsthand, feeling the zeal, the apprehension, and the boldness of the Cobh volunteers.
Be sure to carry a camera, a raincoat and an umbrella (to be on the safe side).
The 90-minute journey comes to a close at the Mauretania Bar, where you will be provided with complimentary tea or coffee.
