Organized tour for cruise ship pax - As soon as you step off the ship, there is a yellow stand with tour guides in yellow jackets. People have booked this company thru various platforms. You take your own train and then hop on a coach to Blarney Castle. I spent about 40 minutes in line to kiss the stone then wandered the stone gardens. We then took the coach back to downtown Cobh and stopped off at a graveyard. Just wish we had more time to wander around downtown Cobh. Tour operators have this down to a science tho!

Journey with John Todd: Cork, Blarney Castle, and Cobh Tour - Our tour with John Todd to Cork, Blarney Castle, and Cobh was an absolute delight from start to finish. John’s expertise and passion for the region shone through, enriching every moment of our adventure. From the moment we boarded the comfortable train, John’s warm welcome and engaging commentary set the tone for the day. His deep knowledge of the area’s history, culture, and hidden gems added depth to our experience, making each stop more meaningful. At Cork, we wandered through charming English market. The visit to Blarney Castle was a highlight, where John regaled us with fascinating tales of the castle’s storied past and ensured we didn’t miss the chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Cobh’s picturesque harbor captivated us, and John’s insights into its maritime heritage and poignant history left a lasting impression. We loved the Cobh heritage centre where we discovered more about the Irish famine and the Titanic. Throughout the tour, John’s professionalism, humor, and genuine care for his guests were evident. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt welcomed and included, creating a sense of camaraderie among fellow travelers. Overall, our day with John Todd was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for his homeland, coupled with his expertise as a guide, made our journey through Cork, Blarney Castle, and Cobh truly unforgettable. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough – it’s a must-do for anyone looking to explore the beauty and history of Ireland with a knowledgeable and personable guide like John. Earl Carien

What a great time! Will use again and again!! - My wife booked a one day trip from Dublin down to Cork and Blarney Castle and Cobh.. Make sure you pay attention that you need to be booked by 1700 local time for the next day. We missed that by about 30 minutes and ended up going the following day... and let me tell you, it was worth the wait for an additional day.. Our guide was John Todd and let me tell you, he was an amazing guide. Now we did have a smaller group, which I think made it even better. He had time to take pics of my wife and I at the different destinations, and he went out of his way to make sure that our group was well taken care of and explained more than he probably needed to, but he was enthusiastic about it. The trip home on the train flew by quick, as him and I talked about Irish History beyond what the sites were that we saw. If we had more time we would love to take a 3 day or 4 day trip with them... (**note** after talking to some of the other people on the tour, make sure you take the tram or walk to the station.. the cab fares are way to high for the short distance it takes to get there)... the tram system is really easy and it can get you all over Dublin quickly.

Great, but too short - This was a great tour, the only thing that would have made it better is if we had more time to explore around the gardens and shops. The Blarney Stone is a must, but it ate up almost all of our time, so that was disappointing. During the cemetery visit we were given the option to stay on the bus or shop at Lidl (an Aldi type store) if we didn’t want to do the cemetery.

Not enough time. - Most everything went well but the amount of time allowed at the castle to kiss the Barney stone was just enough time to stand in the line to get to the top and nothing else….. no lunch no gardens just the long line.
