We cordially invite you on our bicycle tour towards the environmental conservation and health-friendly journey to The Roman Ruins of Conímbriga.

Collect your bicycles from our designated rendezvous point situated at the front of the Astória hotel, or a location mutually agreed upon. We recommend following the well-indicated Carmelite Route (also known as Caminhos de Fátima, just follow the blue arrows) leading to the Ruins. Upon your return, choose the Portuguese Central Way (or the St James Way, follow the yellow arrows). The total distance amounts to approximately 35 km.

The Roman Ruins of Conímbriga, a National Monument since 1910, is most noteworthy archaeological spot from the Roman era in Portugal and is also vastly popular among visitors. The Conímbriga Monographic Museum, established in 1962, operates with the goal of preserving the Roman city ruins, offering public displays and persisting with on-site archaeological research.
