Only tour to take from Melbourne - The tour is as advertised and the reviews are real. James is great, the car is in excellent condition with free fast WiFi. He’s very flexible, kid friendly and allows you to eat and drink in the car. This is by far the only way to do the ocean road and is with the $20 extra dollars over the big buss offers. Probably the best guide, car, and destinations tour I’ve been on. We saw kangaroos and koala up close, great views on the ocean road, plenty of time at the 12 apostles and stopped in some cool spots with good restaurant options at affordable prices (was not a situation where the tour guide was pushing you to eat somewhere and get a commission). Highly recommend.

Awesome experience - Tour guide James was very personable, made all guests feel very welcome and interacted well with all the guests. James did a wonderful job ensuring we saw all the scenic spots along the way (reverse order is great because you miss the majority of the crowds) and the Australian wildlife ie koalas, kangaroos, kookaburras too Highly recommend this tour

Lifelong Memories - I went with my sister and my two parents, and I unenthusiastically woke up at 5:30 (as an 18 year old would) got up expecting a day full of being dragged around from boring sight to sight. Instead, I ended up with lifelong memories and incredible stories to tell my friends. It started off with a long ride to Colac, which our tour guide, James, was able to drive us to silently, reading the room that none of us were morning people. We got out, had our coffee and breakfast, and continued on to the first sight. James then went around with usual introductions, and gave us all time to describe our backgrounds. It was a diverse group, something that I believe would stay true for most tour groups. In particular, James’ ability to crack jokes with all different types of tourists while still remaining knowledgeable about sites was incredible. He knew lots but didn’t seem too egotistical about it. He also seemed to know less popular routes off the ocean road to view cooler, more niche spots which offered the same, if not a cooler perspective of the Great Ocean Road. Another important thing to note is that James is incredibly accommodative with ALL passengers, and is willing to go above and beyond in order to accommodate them. That is a major reason why my 18 year old self is writing my first ever yelp-style review. This tour is ALL DAY LONG. Do not expect time for any plans afterwards unless it’s going out to a club. However, my experience left me exposed to new cultures, new perspectives on smaller communities outside of just Melbourne and Geelong. I have nothing but great things to say about my time on the tour and with James, and booking this trip would be a great decision for anyone of all age groups!

Excellent tour, highly recommend! - We had a fantastic day doing the group Great Ocean Road tour today. A big part of that had to do with our guide James, who was so fun, energetic, kind, and professional. He is truly excellent at what he does. The tour itself covers a number of great sights including the Twelve Apostles, Razorback, Loch Ard Gorge, a rain forest visit, a quiet spot to view koalas in the wild (we were the only group there), kangaroo spotting on the infamous golf course (James would've taken else elsewhere but there were road closures), Teddy's Lookout, a photo stop by the GOR sign, ice cream/chocolate stop (the ice cream is SO GOOD), and more. The only thing that you might miss is that the tour doesn't have time to let you go down the Gibson Steps to walk on the beach near the Apostles, but I think that's a more than reasonable trade off for covering so much else in one day. There were a lot of stops (including plenty of bathroom breaks) so you generally didn't feel like you were in a van all day and for the most part I felt like we had enough time at each location. For us, the full-day tour was absolutely worth it, and I say that as someone who generally prefers to DIY and avoid tours like the plague. A word on the van: it was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Or at least it was before we all tracked in stuff over the course of the day, LOL! So don't be put off by the somewhat random name of this company (I wish I'd thought to ask James the reason behind it). It's a high-quality operation and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The Great Ocean Road by 88 Luxury is a must book - It was a great tour. What made it better is the energy, attitude, and generosity of our tour guide, James. This is an excellent adventure for me and my wife. Seeing the breathtaking 12 Apostles, going through Otway National Park, stopping over coastal towns to see koalas and kangaroos, and simply going through the picturesque Great Ocean Road is definitely a highly recommended experience. This tour is worth it and a must-book if ever you are in Melbourne.

What a Fantastic Day - thorough, informative and very entertaining - This was an exceptional trip. From the moment I booked there was clear and friendly communication. The reverse tour with a small group is definitely the BEST way to tour the Great Ocean Road. James, our Man, was phenomenal. A real people person. He understood the assignment. I was the first to be picked up - 6:20am, we did our introductions and headed off to pick up the others. The conversation was genuine and authentic, and James knew each person's name and used it throughout the day. Nothing was too much for him, he would help in any way he could. Although there were 6 different parties on the bus, we all felt like we'd organised the trip together, it was such a great vibe. James made everyone's day. He was knowledgeable and honest and didn't mind that as a Queenslander, I chipped in. I could have been that annoying person, but it was really great banter (I Hope!) Don't go on those coach tours, go on this. You'll have the best experience. P.S. Boss Man - give James a pay rise.
