Wonderful private tour experience - If you want an easy, stress-free day in Sintra seeing the best it has to offer from a local, Miguel is your guy. He was super knowledgeable and professional, seamlessly driving us from our hotel in downtown Lisbon to all the sites we wanted to see and many that we didn't know about. He has a lot of experience as a guide, and it shows. It was a relief to take a step back from planning and let someone else run the show. A day well spent. - Miguel picked us up on time, he immediately started sharing insights into everything we passed from Lisbon to Sintra. He was a wealth of information on all relevant topics. We thought the Quinta Palace was the most interesting place we saw, but it was all good.

Fantastic five stars - I wasn’t sure that all of these five star reviews could be real— at least until I got on the tour myself. This was such a magical day— I had an amazing time with Miguel. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. (And try the fish stew— I hear it’s amazing!)

MIGUEL IS A GEM & THIS TOUR IS AMAZING! - We enjoyed every minute of this tour as Miguel gave us historical and contextual information that was fabulous. He started discourses that went beyond your normal run-of-the-mill tour guide. Sintra is a big place & it cannot be seen all in one day - the diversity of offerings is very wide. Miguel offered choices & highlights for the day that were just right for us (e.g., where to go, where to have lunch, what to notice, etc.) & he was flexible with our decisions. We would come back again just to spend the day with Miguel!

A perfect day in Sintra! - We had an unforgettable experience of Sintra because of Miguel. He truly is the best tour guide...friendly, genuine, personable, patient, and extremely knowledgable. We learned so much from him throughout the day as we visited different sites and areas of Sintra, and also about Portugal in general. I highly recommend him and would book him again in a heart beat.

Exceptional, Informative and Stunning! - Miguel was a wonderful, personable and knowledgeable guide! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our tour with him! We are a family of four. He made reservations for us for lunch overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean - the sea bass was exceptional as was the friendly service! We toured UNESCO sight after sight with beautiful buildings, gardens and landscape. Highly recommend this tour! Five star and more! It’s worth every penny and you will be delighted!

Excellent day at Sintra! - What a fantastic day! Miguel was an incredible tour guide. He asked what we wanted to accomplish, respectfully made suggestions, and was very knowledgeable and fun. He took us to see areas we hadn't thought of and gave us lots of valuable information about everything we did. And he was excellent at working around the crowds. Excellent tour! Highly recommend! - This tour absolutely exceeded my hopes and expectations. Miguel is so great! He is very professional, his English is excellent and he was able to share a vast amount of historical & culturally pertinent information. At the beginning of the tour he laid out the expectations for the tour and talked to me and my husband about what we was important to us. I knew going into it that we couldn’t see all of Sintra in a day, impossible!, but we got a very good overview with a little more time in Quinta da Regeleira, which was a priority I specified. He also recommended a very good restaurant, Adraga, and shared some relevant tips, which were appreciated by the Canadians who were not “in the know”. All in all, it was a great day that we will remember fondly! We would highly recommend Miguel if you’re looking for a more personal experience. Obrigata Miguel!

Exceptional tour to Sintra - We wanted to explore the surrounding area during our vacation in Lisbon, so we decided on the private tour to Sintra. Miguel picked us up at the hotel and prepared a wonderful day for us! The tour could be flexibly adapted to our wishes and was therefore just perfect for us. We experienced and learned so much because Miguel has an impressive knowledge. We also went to a fantastic restaurant right by the sea, where we could enjoy the food while looking at the waves. All in all, we recommend the tour to anyone who wants to spend an extraordinary day in Sintra. Thank you Miguel for showing us so much!

Five Star Tour and Guide!! - We have been on a lot of private tours during our many years of travelling. Miguel is one of the best. He is a master storyteller. We learned so much about the history of the Sintra area. We visited the town of Sintra, had some ginjha and travesseiros, then went to Quinta Regaleira, then lunch in Praia das Macas (Apples beach), then Cabo da Roca, then Pena Palace. It was a full day! Be prepared to do lots of walking uphill and downhill! For us, the highlight was the visit to Regaleira. We didn't see the wishing well because the line was 2 hours long, but Miguel did mention some other places to see there which was also amazing, including a cave. We also really enjoyed the travsseiros pastry from Piriquita bakery. This is a MUST DO. That was probably the BEST BITE of our entire trip to Portugal. Never had anything so pillowy and tasty before. We also really enjoyed our lunch at Praia das Macas. It was a beautiful, peaceful beach with really good food. There is no need to book your attractions ahead of time. Be prepared with cash - and Miguel will pick up the tickets for you at the entrance of each of your desired attractions. It is also not possible to see all the attractions at Sintra, so keep your expectations in check. Some attractions are one hour drive from each other. Muito obrigada Miguel for a great day!!
