It was great! - Great tour, very knowledgeable tour guide that was also very entertaining! Really enjoyed learning more about the wine plants themselves, and was a great wine tasting. 10/10 recommend!

Winery tour as it should be - Very nice, competent tour of the winery, soil, vines, weather, everything. The selected wines were great, and there were also small snacks to go with them.

Excellent wine tour - It was a great experience to learn so much about the different grapes and to taste the difference. Super nice guide who spoke English very well. I was the only foreigner on the tour, but he took the time to explain everything both in Spanish and English. The wine tasting was also nice and the surroundings are beautiful as well. Can only recommend this place.

Fun and informative tour with excellent guide - My wife and I arrived at MontGras without having pre-booked the tour. We joined the next scheduled tour 20 minutes later which ended up being just the two of us. We've done many winery tours before and this was one of the most fun and informative ones we've been on. We learned how to identify grape varietals by their leaves, did a blind tasting from a tank, and tried to identify a wine from smelling it in the barrel. The tour wraps up by tasting 3 wines paired with small bites. We can't remember our guide's name but he was wonderful. Thanks for a great experience!

It was hands down our best Tour in the Colchagua Valley! - We had a memorable tour at Mont Gras Wineries that started with ‘opening day’ for their new wine shop. Our guide was fluent in English, had a great sense of humour, and was passionate about sharing the wine making experience with us (a group of 4). We started in the vines. We learned to identify the varietal by the leaves on the vine, we tasted the grapes on the vines, we saw the grapes being harvested by hand, we drank directly from the metal tanks! It all culminated with a tasting of some very nice wines at the end of the tour, accompanied by some appetizers that helped to demonstrate that effective pairing can enhance the flavours of the wine. We purchased a bottle of the 2017 Ninquen and enjoyed it overlooking the vines following the tour! We highly recommend that you put this one on your list!

MontGras - I would put this on you list of wineries in the area, the tour wasn’t extensive but I did learn about identifying different varieties by leaf and grape. Marcellos is very knowledgeable about the area. The wines were very good, I’m a red guy but o did buy a bottle of the Chardonnay, the tour did cost 15,000 CLP but I found that was about in the middle of the price ranges.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST WINERY TOUR EVER! - I have been on many winery tours all over the World. I have to say, hands down, this was the most informative tour! Gonzalo was a fantastic host/guide! We were there on a very slow Sunday afternoon. The three of us received basically a private tour as no others were there for our slotted time. Gonzalo started off telling us the basics you learn in most tours. He then went a step further by showing us, not only the various grape vines, but took time to show us the actual differences in the vine leaves. This is how they tell the grape variety from one vine to the next in the field. During our tour inside he allowed us to sample from the tap of the steel tanks to show us how the wine tastes in that state! We had a fantastic tasting outside under the courtyard verandah. Tasting 4 wines and even allowed to taste an extra as I was curious about their Rosé wine. Each was paired with a little nibble to help show how the food compliments the wine. There was no rush to the tasting and we got to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather and drink our wine! All in all we managed to leave with 7 bottles of wine! Everything we tasted was top quality at this winery! Highly recommend a stop here! Ask for Gonzalo if you are doing the English language tour!

Well done and well presented mass production - At 8 Million bottles per year, this is a massive operation, though they are quick to tell us that there are others more than twice as large. The vats are huge, the the barrel room is massive (30,000 barrels in one room!). Everything is done large scale and fast. And everything looks efficient, clean, and well run. The tour was also presented by a very personable English speaking guide, who made the entire experience enjoyable. Then, they give a 30% discount on all wines bought that day after you have completed the tour. The wines are quite good, and rather inexpensive. We ended up buying 6 bottles. (would have gotten more, but that is the import allowance when we fly home)
