The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I made my way to the dock in Cole Bay, Sint Maarten. The promise of a full day of snorkeling, exploring, and indulging in a BBQ lunch was too tempting to resist. As someone who has spent countless hours riding the waves, the idea of diving beneath them to explore the vibrant marine life was a thrilling prospect. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Snyder, the first mate, whose warm smile and easy-going demeanor set the tone for the day. After a swift check-in, I boarded the speedboat and met our captain, Sammy. His infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the island’s coastline promised an unforgettable experience.
