- Wineglass Bay - After making your way down a quiet bush track from the Lookout to Wineglass Bay, you’ll have the opportunity to kick your shoes off and get your toes salty and sandy on the beaches squeaky white shores. Enjoy a cuppa and morning tea as you soak in one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches.
- Hazards Beach - Take the opportunity to kick your shoes off and explore the empty stretch of Hazards Beach. You’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch before choosing to take a dip or relax in the shade. Conveniently you’ll then board the Freycinet Aqua Taxi boat service from our remote picnic lunch, to transfer back to the Freycinet Lodge where our tour will conclude. The perfect opportunity to witness the Freycinet National Park from all perspectives!

Freycinet Walking Tour is a locally guided small group 5.5-hour walk and boat adventure in the Freycinet National Park. Connect with local knowledge and interpretive storytelling as you discover the richness of Wineglass Bay and less frequented corners of the Freycinet National Park. Fully catered and with gear provided, this book and forget tour is the perfect way to enjoy the Freycinet National Park.
- We require a minimum of 4 guests per tour to guarantee the departure. If you are booking for less than 4 guests and the first booked on this date, your booking will remain tentative until we reach minimum numbers. Someone from the team will get in touch to advise.
- This is an all weather tour. We do have a number of alternative itineraries to the advertised and provide wet weather gear. Your guide will liaise with the Aqua Taxi to confirm the safest itinerary to suit weather conditions. Your safety is our priority and in the event of extreme weather warnings, we will be forced to cancel the tour and provide a full refund.
- National Parks Passes are not included in tour fee and can be purchased from the Freycinet National Parks Visitors Centre, Freycinet Lodge or online. It is guests responsibility to be carrying a valid Parks Pass.
- A 15% Public Holiday Surcharge will apply for all Tasmanian statewide public holidays including substitute holidays. This is included in the total price for select dates ($276.00 per person).

Our Freycinet Walking Tour starts and finishes at the Freycinet Lodge, located within the Freycinet National Park. Meet your guide at 9:00am in the Hazard's Bar and Lounge, located downstairs within the Freycinet Lodge.

Excellent hike and great way to see the park! - We had a great time on our hike with Freycinet Walking Tour. It was a great way to see the park, and our guide Elliot was kind and helpful. They even went the extra mile to ensure that my husband had his gluten free meal. The boat taxi back to the lodge was a welcome relief after a hot day, and a lot of fun! Would highly recommend, although probably important for others who wish to join that the walk is quite strenuous.

Great hike, great guide - We had a great time on this hike - very personable guide who moved at the right pace and told us what to expect. Wineglass bay is gorgeous! and the fast ferry ride back to the hotel was really fun.

Great hiking experience. - First rate hiking tour. Well put together and the guide, Andrew, was outstanding. He had terrific knowledge of the wildlife , history of the area, and the environment. Highly recommend this company .

A Perfect day in Tasmania - The best day we had in Tasmania was this day. Our guide Sarah was warm, friendly, and full of wonderful tales and history about our glorious surrounds. The walk was simply glorious. The lunch delicious (and I’m fussy). The swim, the wildlife, the views, the boat ride home. All sensational. Thank you from us. We loved it.

Great way to see the sights in a short time with a large family - Thank you to Sarah and Freycinet Walking Tours for organising our tour for our large group and to Andrew for being a wonderful guide to the spectacular Wineglass Bay and Hazzards Bay. Sara is the best, Elliott is a Star! - Sara was hospitable and organized. This hiking tour is well planned out for the guests to enjoy a wonderful experience. Sara’s colleague is a movie celebrity, Jason Mamoa, who goes undercover by the name of Elliott, a wonderful chap that is a well built, strong local Tassie rugby player that made us feel protected and safe. I enjoyed his friendly, welcoming and the authentic local interaction from talking to him during the hike. Always love learning about the locals in my travels. All the best. A most wonderful walking tour with the best guide ever! - Our guide David was excellent and brought us on a lovely walking route with many sightings of birds which he was very knowledgeable about, lovely beaches, flora and fauna and the most beautiful views. He was tireless in answering our questions and telling us stories, history and fun facts along the way. He was most patient and took great care of our party of 3. This was even more appreciated as my next tour to cradle mountain with Viator was with the most dreadful, impatient, rude and reckless tour guide.

Ideal one day, guided walking tour of Wine Glass bay - Sarah is a great and charming guide. She has really good knowledge of flora, fauna and the indigenous people. She gauged the weather and arranged the tour perfectly for the spectacular views. Her humour and patience is admirable, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful day hike with her.

The Perfect Guide foe the Perfect One Day Walk in Tasmania - The perfect 1 day walk in Tasmania with the perfect guide! We were very fortunate to have Sara, the owner of Experiential Tasmania, guide our fabulous walk around Freycinet National Park and Wine Glass Bay.
As soon as I booked the walk for two couples, the communication with Sara was amazing. She ensured we knew exactly what to pack and what to prepare for, so as a first time hiker.
I felt very comfortable with what lay ahead. The walk is probably a 6 out of 10 in difficultly. Much of it is flat and we explored gorgeous bushland tracks as well as walking along divine white sandy beaches and higher vantage points overlooking the beauty of Wine Glass Bay. But there are some steep climbs to reach prime viewing points.
Sarah chatted happily with us all, answering our questions and hit the right balance of chatting to the chatty and leaving the quieter walkers have their space.
The backpacks, morning tea and lunch provided were perfect.
Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Just do it!

Wineglass Bay experience - Sarah was a wonderful guide/host/conversationalist for our small group of four. The views to Wineglass Bay and onward were exceptional and we managed the 12 km hike with reasonable ease. Sarah was very patient and conscious of keeping liquids up at every stop. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
