Laurent from Caribbean Paddling, - Laurent from Caribbean Paddling is a laid back and easy-going gentleman. He will help outfit you for your skill level and desired activity, and then set you loose to enjoy. If the sea weed is in, there is a fishy smell, but don’t let that deter you; because you will quickly paddle to bluer seas and a white sandbar, which is located half way to the island. Pinel is a beautiful and natural island with a gift shop and restaurant/bar. The kitchen closes at 3:00, but the drinks flow until 4:00 pm when the island starts shutting down. Take a quickly hike to the top to enjoy the view before paddling back to Laurent at 5:00 pm ending your adventure.

Family friendly fun and lots of exploring! - It is the ONLY way to go to the island! Coupled with snorkeling, the kayak gives you so much freedom to stop at different places (sandbar and the small island in between) for more snorkeling and relaxing fun! Thoroughly recommend!

Amazing Day Trip and Adventure - This was a wonderful adventure for my husband and myself. We battled the wind and waves to get out to Pinel Island. The hard work was worth a priceless day on any amazing beach, great snorkeling, and delicious food! The owner was very courteous and gave us very good information to get to the island and back safely.

Paddle to Pinel - A trip to Pinel via Caribbean Paddling is the one thing we do every trip to St Martin. Ozzy & crew are the best! Had an amazing time as always, and will definitely see you again next year!

Our favorite day on the Island! - This was a last minute decision and we’re glad we did it. Didn’t make a reservation but we assigned our tandem kayak and sent out to sea within minutes of arriving. Nice leisurely paddle over to Pinel. Stopped along the way to snorkel and saw lots of fish. Had a super relaxing day on Pinel Island, then saw sea turtles on our paddle back. Lastly, as we were returning the kayak, we asked the owner for a dinner recommendation and he pointed us to Orient Bay, which we hadn’t visited yet. We loved it! Great day all around.

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!! - We rented a family kayak and twin and had an amazing time. Calm waters, lovely sandbanks and beaches to visit. Great to see the turtles and snorkel with tropical fish. The bar on Pinel Island does the best Pina Coladas too! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nothing not to like, would highly recommend it!!!!!

Nice Adventure outing - Was there a week ago. My friend and I are healthy mid-60's and her two sons are mid 20's. Coming off a Celebrity Cruise ship the biggest fear was pick up and return might be result in us missing our boat. But Reviews were great, and Ozzy was always super efficient in handling payment and scheduling, so I took the chance. Once we found the pickup location( tucked away in the back lot), Theresa was there waiting with her van and off we went.--Great fun to talk with as she drove us across the inland island roads. As we neared the coast, rain started falling, but by the time we arrived it had thankfully stopped and we walked up the board walk to meet a cheerful man of the sea Laurent. After getting our snorkling gear, and my friend getting brief instruction, we got into two person kayaks, and off we went. Had a very pleasant lunch at the little cafe on the beach. Then snorkeled and paddled about as we pleased. Returning, we relaxed in warm shallow water at Little island Pinel after being greeted by a solitary Iguana that appears to be the spiritual chief of the island. Only note. This is not a Disney ride, or a Cruise ship excursion. Once you get in the Kayaks, you are in control of where you go for the next few hours. Bring extra water, snacks, and research the best locations to snorkle. A couple in our van in said they saw many fish around the big rocks of little Pinel Island. As newbie visitors, we missed that-- but all in all a pretty wonderful day.
