Awesome experience - Demetrio was our tour guide and picked us up promptly at 8:30 from our Airbnb. We had a private tour with 6 people. He was informative on the way to the River. He took pictures for us at the falls. The water felt amazing. The canoe ride was fun, especially when it was just our group with Demetrio and the Embera guides. The lunch was fantastic, some of the best fish we ever had! It and the fruit was served in handcrafted banana leaf vessels. We bought a few handmade gifts and enjoyed the dancing and learning more about their culture. We got tattoos that unfortunately did not last as long as we expected, mine was gone later that night after getting into a pool. We were also expecting a longer hike to the waterfall, which was good and bad. (I like to hike) Overall one of the highlights of our trip.

A piece of sunshine - If you appreciate indigenous cultures this is tour for you! It's also very peaceful. The land is beautiful and so much more than the indigenous reservations in the USA.

Fun Fun and more Fun - Tour Guide Beautiful, Adventurous, and most importantly fun! These are a few words that I would use to describe this awesome tour. The services were great, our tour guide picked us up from our hotel and drove us to our location and from there we escaped into a beautiful world where we were greeted by one of the local tribes, they guided us to a waterfall (pics were IG worthy) then served us authentic food, and we danced and singed but most importantly all of this could not have been done without our amazing tour guide Dan (Mr. Awesome) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!

Excellent guide, canoe trip and introduction to Embera tribe. It was all it promised and more. - Driver/guide Michael was excellent. Informative about all of Panama, historical and contemporary. He offered assistance as needed whether for the short hike or taking photos on canoe or near waterfall. Very engaged. The wooden canoes gave an authentic feel to the trip on the river to both the waterfall and the tribal visit. Tribal members were very friendly skillfully maneuvering through underwater rocks. It was a very pleasant journey to the village. The breeze from the water was cooling and the shade from the deep jungle was refreshing. Personally I do not like heat and this was very tolerable. This was a very light trek to a substantial waterfall. Getting wet was optional whether just feet, legs or full swim. Water was clear enough with fish swimming around your legs. Village experience was also very good. It had a true authentic, educational feel. Definitely lacked the canned commercial performance that might be expected. We felt privileged to have the opportunity to be exposed to elements of this tribe's culture. A wonderful worthwhile trip. Only suggestion: if exact pick up time could be provided earlier than night before. I had to contact company. I imagine this is probably due to ability to cancel 24 hrs before.
