It is celebrated for being one of the most accessible tropical forests globally, with over 400 species recorded and still counting. Located just a 45-minute drive from Panama City, an early morning visit offers the opportunity to spot forest raptors, canopy birds, toucans, parrots, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers. With patience, keen hearing, and a bit of luck, a guide can help locate army ants, leading to sightings of ant swarm specialists such as Bicolored, Ocellated, and Spotted Antbirds, as well as Woodcreepers and more.
